I've been eating here over 20 years. It has some fine steaks and each entree will come with a plate of skillet cornbread, pintos, salad bar and bread. The salad bar has boiled shrimp on it some nights too.
This place is moderately priced, standing room only whenever the doors are open, but will tempt you and delight you. The wait staff are nice and helpful, plus the restaurant supports the local schools by hiring them most of the time.
Want good food and some fine people to serve you? It is all in the Homestead.

The best store for religious goods in town. This store has everything - clothing, books, music, collectibles, bibles...everything! This is a really pretty store and the staff is very helpful. If they do not have what you are looking for they will find it and order it for you. They are able to get what you are looking for quickly. I highly suggest this store if you are looking for religious item for yourself or as a gift. Their prices are very reasonable.

I just love Heavens attic in Rome Ga. The selection is wonderful and the staff there are very nice. I particularly enjoyed speaking with one of the ladies that teaches childrens church. She had some great ideas that I am going to use. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the selection is more than I ever expected!

We absolutely love this place and would go more often if we could afford it; the kids' meals are just so much! We also prefer their fried rice with that smoky bacon flavor, although I was just sure I wouldn't be able to tolerate it! This is my husband's new traditional birthday dinner. I like that they seat you immediately, but it is typical to have to wait for a complete table before they begin cooking.

We have come home from England and we normally eat at Las Palmas once a week. We usually go with our friends the Pollards. We moved here in 2002 from Atlanta and there they have wonderful authentic Mexican Restuarant. Well, when we visited Las Palmas, we knew this was the best. We went to church and told everyone and now everyone agrees with us, it is the very best. Along with Las Palmas being the best Mexican Restuarant in town, we attend the friendliest, best preaching from the KJV 1600 Bible in this town. Dr. Billy Goolesby has visited Las Palmas many time, hey, Judy bring the ones that are off on Sunday and visit Rome Baptist Temple on New Calhoun Highway off the by pass.

I went here when I adopted a pet from the shelter and needed them fixed, I also went here when I needed a small checkup.They were helpful and didn't push alot of high price items upon me as I've seen at other places. While they were reasonably priced, they didn't offer a payment service and that I think is too bad. They were in good spirits though and had smiles on their faces, always a big plus!
Pros: nice, friendly, reasonably priced
Cons: no payment service

I do not like the name Finders Keepers Consignment Resale Store. For one thing, it's too long. And, for another thing, it is not really appropriate for a consignment shop. I was glad I stopped in here, though, as they have some items at reasonable prices. I have been several times, and I have always found great items. There are a lot of cheap clothing, and those items can probably be bought new for same price this shop charges. But all in all, I give this store three stars because like all stores, one can always find something he/she wants. The store was little hard to find. I just happened upon it one day.

Chicken salad is what you want? Then this is the place to get it. They make fresh chicken salad each day. I really enjoy their cashew chicken salad wrap. The restaurant has a great hometown deli feel and the owner is always around to great his customers that return time after time. They also have great soup and salads. Many of their sandwiches are named after people in the community. Don't forget to try their sweet tea and homemade desserts. MMM..mmmm..wonderful. The price is fantastic.

From their Texas Fajitas with the shrimp, beef, and chicken to their simply wonderful (and my favorite) Loco Pollo (rice, chicken and cheese dip), Los Portales is a mexican restaurant done right. We go there whenever we want mexican because its reasonably priced, has the best flavor, and although its always packed we have never had to wait for a seat. I couldn't even think of going anywhere else!
