Wonderful staff and they do love my dog! Theresa is terrific and very knowledgeable. She showed me how to brush him out and get him used to grooming (rough collie). We've also boarded him there and he is well taken care of! We left him once for 8 days and he was fine (picked him up on Monday since they are closed on Sundays). Terrific!

The staff here is amazing. I have had to do long term boarding here and on a Sunday, when most kennels would not be available, they called me to let me know my dog was not behaving normally and told me to take him to the emergency room (which they would have done for me). Turns out he had a serious condition that was not visually apparent and needed immediate emergency surgery. Other kennels might not have noticed or cared about a change in a dogs behavior but Critter's did and they saved his life.

Wooden crates? There are no wooden crates here. The cats are in _Split- Level_ cages which means they have an upstairs with their litter box and food and a downstairs with a comfy blanket or bed. We have toys and often there is a kennel tech that loves cats and takes them out to play with and pet. I don't know where you took your animal in 2007 but Critter's hasn't had wooden crates since I have worked there.
I have no idea about the overpriced thing.

The boarding facilities for cats at this kennel are awful. Despite the claim on their website that We have special facilities for cats on our second floor, away from the dogs. The facilities are bright and roomy, cats stay on the first floor, next to the noisy dog grooming room, in very cramped, wooden cages. My cat was depressed for days after returning home. He has happily and easily boarded at other places. And what's worse, they are overpriced. If you don't believe me, take a tour of the facility ahead of time.

I have a friend who has boarded their lab at Critter's Board and Groom several times over the past year. Theresa, who is the owner and manager, is very friendly, and makes you feel comfortable leaving your dog there. The staff makes you feel like your dog will be well taken care of. The boarding area is kept very clean too. The only down side is that they are not open on weekends, so this is more of a place to leave your dog if you go on a business trip during the week.
