Right on the harbor at Bearskin Neck. They get extremely crowded but once you try one of their chowders you will know why. They also have your traditional lobster rolls, burgers etc but you have to go for the chowder.

Just a simple place selling really good streudels and danishes. Not many seatings in the store but you don't want to linger in the store when Bearskin Neck is just a stone throw away from this little store. Get your streudel and coffee and head out to the end of the tiny peninsula to enjoy the view while you savor your treats.

Rockport House of Pizza, or as the locals call it - Rockport House of Grease, has the best pizza in the North Shore. The pizza is greasy and delicious (the way it should be)!! Local kids will stop off for a slice of pizza and families pick up a pie for dinner on the run. If you are visiting Rockport, this is a great place to stop for lunch in between sight seeing and shopping.

The Fudgery is a great place to get, you guessed it, fudge! It is made on the premises and you can get any flavor imaginable, plus with or without nuts. The smell is heavenly when you walk in the door. Expect to walk out with lots of treats.

This country store boasts an old-style penny candy wall. Just get a paper bag and fill it up with a delicious variety of penny candy. Some of the candy (like the flying saucer looking wafers with little candy balls inside) cannot be easily found outside of this store. There are lots of cute little items to purchase for yourself or for others, but I would recommend going in there for the candy, if nothing else!

We discovered the Eagle House when our daughter was in college in the area, and every year, the inn just gets better and better! Gary and Maria took it over about 6 years ago, and their hospitality is just wonderful! The rooms have been updated, and many hav a kitchenette, which saves alot of money. The price on the rooms is very reasonable for the area. The inn is walking distance from Bearskin Neck, and is right in the center of Rockport. The hosts will go out of their way to make sure that you have everything you need. they also have taken over a guesthouse next door, that can be rented in part or full. Comfortable rooms, great location, nice place, and great hosts!
