This was our first sushi place when we moved here 4 years ago. Boy were we thrilled. The HP and Five Star rolls are two all-time favorites. Love the saba with the fresh ginger and lemon. Prices are more affordable then some of the more popular places in town. The staff is always friendly and we love the greeting when we walk in the door. more

Fast and Fun Sushi! 8/18/2005

In a sea of sushi restaurants in the Sacramento area, izumi tries something different, being traditional. Though most restaurants try to be hip and new Izumi glorifies the old days and brings ancient Japan to life. The ambiance reminds you of old Kurasawa movies and the food is good too. They offer sushi and traditional Japanese dishes to complete the experience, great find. more

Excellent Sushi Bar 8/4/2005

I was new to sushi when I first came here over a year ago. I now eat here at least once a week. Everyone is nice and after a while, they tend to know your name and orders!! It has been a real treat and will continue to be my favorite place to eat. Hats off to Jimmy, Steve, Bob and Wee-wee for their fine rolls! Give it a try you won't be disapointed. I'm glad I did. more
