Fun, positive place. Receptionist was great at matching me up with a stylist that did an amaising job on my color & cut. Walked out feelin great about my new style. They had a group of women in the pedicure room that makes me want to grab my friends and go back to get my toes done. Definatly will be a place I will go to often. Didn't get to walk thru the spa on the 2nd floor but maybe on my next visit.

First time in here and booked whoever was open. Seemed like a great place from the reviews with a really friendly staff but... My haircut was lacking. Asked to leave layers alone on my long hair that I am trying to grow layers out of... and I walked away with more layers than i walked in with. I wanted my hair one length, and do not care to be told how heavy it may feel. Also, I was told I had a single grey hair...i'm under 25, somethings are better left unsaid. I would recommend the salon if you can be earnest about what you want and I agree with an earlier posting that my stylist seemed rushed, like she was being timed.

I have been going to Jennee at Maxim for over five years, and I will not let anyone else cut or color my hair since I started going to her! I have had complete strangers stop me to tell me that they love the color of my hair, and she always styles my hair exactly the way I want it. the spa upstairs is beautiful, too. All around, it is just a great place with excellent service.

I have been working with Jennee at Maxim for more than 5 years now, and I love her! She is excellent recommending colors and cuts for my hair, because I always like trying something different. I get compliments from complete strangers on the color and/or style on a regular basis. Toni & Becky are excellent manicurists, and my daughter loves Jason (for her hair) and Daniel for her waxing.

I have been going to Maxim at their new location on Park Ave since they opened; before that I went to their previous locations. My stylist (Toni) never fails to deliver with her hair color choices and cuts. I completely depend on her to decide what needs to be done for my hair. I have also used their other services and they are excellent. There is a level of comfort at this spa that cannot be replicated. 5 Stars for this Spa on every level!!!

My hair is naturally curly and not easy to cut plus if you weigh in the fact that I can't make a decision to save my life, but when I go into Maxim, my stylist (Toni)- just takes over - does what looks good for me and I never leave upset with the result! I have been with her faithfully for over 7 years now (I have followed her everywhere she has gone), she also does my nails and waxing. I constantly get compliments regarding my hair and nails, I have even been stopped on the street before and asked where I have gotten my hair done! I have used all the spa services and it is truly a relaxing, enjoyable experience.

I am one of those people who can never find a stylist that can do my hair "right" more than once. Maxim is the first place I have returned to more than twice. In fact, since I moved back to Rochester, I have been faithfully seeing Jason Christopher and just love what he does with my hair.He is the type of stylist that listens to what you want, looks at the pictures and actually makes it happen. He also was realistic and let me know why a certain style wouldn't work with my hair type. I haven't yet tried out any of their spa offerings, but I love the shop and esp Jason! Mention my name if you go in!
