Okay, my kids don’t want to learn anything ever if they think it’s going to be like preschool and I can’t blame them but they’ll learn about everything from electricity to color and light at RMSC or the Rochester Museum and Science Center. They have hands on experiments and computers etc. And it’s not too much cash! Best part is the kids will be happy and you can relax.

The JCC is a full-service athletic club and community center. They offer a complete fitness center for aerobic conditioning, group fitness and aquaerobics classes. They have an indoor pool and track, spinning classes, cybex circuits, powerflex classes, yoga, pilates, free weights, personal trainers, children's play gym, and tennis and racquetball courts. The have a variety of membership options, including a one month trial, 3 month and continuous memberships. They also offer new member discounts. Very clean and well-staffed facility, and they offer new member discounts with most insurance plans.

This is a great arena for a small city. The arena is fully up to par with NHL arenas because the Sabres play there every now and again and of course the Amerks call it home. Also it’s a great place to see a band. It’s not so big you can see anything and the sound is amazing – for an arena. And it’s good to see the Circus at too because you can actually get close enough to see the clowns and smell the elephants!

During winter when there is nothing to do, you must go see the Amerks play some hockey. There is always a big crowd, lots of excitement, and great food. Tickets are available ahead of time, or at the door. The games are in the Blue Cross Arena, which is right downtown, and easy to get to. The fans that come are of all ages.... from little kids to grandma and grandpa... and they are all pretty faithful and devoted to their team, so it is always exciting and entertaining. Going to a game is great for a family night out, or a date, or anytime you are bored.

The Strong Museum is the best place to go for a day of fun! the kids never get bored! As a matter of fact, they often can't do every thing there is to do in one day so we end up going back for more. And the best part of it for me as the parent is they are learning as they are playing!

MY hockey team used to practice here all the time. They have 4 rinks, although some of them are converted to other types of fields for other sports. They lighting is great there and they have a snack bar and a pro shop. They also have these cool practice rooms (for a fee) with fake ice stuff on them. They also offer open skate. I think it is the best rink in the area.

The Rochester Public Library is located in the heart of downtown Rochester. It is an easy place to drop in to on lunch or on a break from work, to browse or just relax. The building is airy and bright, and there is a lovely reading garden for the nice weather. Members have free Internet use. The library is well organized by genre and the friendly staff go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for. However, the collection is split between two buildings, the old and the new ones.

This place is awesome. My son had his birthday party here and it was so much fun. They have a ball pit, miniature golf, and arcade games. He still says that was the best birthday ever. the staff was great in handling all of the birthday events and keeping everything organized.
