This theater I rarely go to because I do not like the place much. There is a ton of people that go there but the place is too small and I find the bathrooms and the theaters are always dirty. They are more expensive then the newer and cleaner Tinseltown theater. I would not recommend this place for people to attend.

This theater is the nicest in Rochester. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this theater was very well run. The movie presentation was great and the prices were much lower than what the other theaters in the area charge. The employees are friendly and seem to enjoy their job.
Keep up the great work Tinseltown!
Pros: spotlessly clean
Cons: they don't serve pepsi

Where can you go to see two full movies for only $3 in a real theater? Only the Cinema Theatre on Goodman and South Clinton. This is a Rochester tradition. You can see two movies any night of the week, usually at 7p and 9p. It is a great little family-owned operation. Even the theater snacks are reasonably priced! They have cookies and popcorn that won't put you into bankruptcy. And the movies are usually either just out of the movie theaters or movies that you passed on for the $8.50 ticket price. You can't even rent a movie this cheap! They have earlier shows on the weekends, so check it out!

There are better theaters in town like Geva but the Blackfriars is totally local and they’re really good! Makes you wonder how the local butcher can act that well and still cut great steak! It’s fun and it’s not too pricey. Some might find it a little expensive for community type theater. But I love it!

Nice little, cozy theater with a cafe. I didn't eat at the cafe, but I heard its pretty good from others. It plays movies that you wouldn't see at other places. The movie ticketss aren't that expensive either. There are also a wide variety of movies playing.

The Little Theater is a real gem in the downtown Rochester community. It shows a surprisingly wide array of independent films ranging from the political to the artsy. You will find movies playing here that you just can't see anywhere else in town. The design of the building is also attractive, with an old-fashioned marquee and plenty of art deco charm. Ticket prices are reasonable and they offer various student, senior and membership discounts. There is parking in a rear lot or on the street, and a cute little cafe is right next door.

Regal is a great movie theater - they show a lot of movies, and the price is normal, 6.50 during the day and 8 at night. They have about 15 theaters, with 8 or so being larger and the rest being small ones. The whole place is very clean, including the bathrooms. The only downside is that you spend more on food than tickets, but that is the case at many theaters.

I am a fan of theaters that are small and quaint. The Pittsford Cinema 9 in Pittsford Plaza is usually the theater we frequent. It is a small theater that has been around for quite a while, and is very selective of the movies that it runs. The prices on admission and concessions is reasonable, compared to other theaters. It is also a great place for students to go, as they offer a $2 discount on admission for students.
