Salena's is moving to a larger space within Village Gate with an outdoor bar and patio facing the gracious courtyard. They have hired Josh Bickham as their Executive Chef who will lend his talents and experience to the specials as they maintain their core competencies of the main menu. The opening is slated for early March 2007.

I had lunch at Salena's Restaurant in the Village Gate recently, and I wasn't overly impressed. It may be different at dinnertime, but the food seemed rather tired and uninspired to me. The prices were reasonable, but the atmosphere was generally kind of blah (think: plastic cacti). It doesn't help that the restaurant is located in Village Gate, which is a strangely empty and weird little area. The staff seemed pleasant and competent, but the overall dining experience was lacking. It seems like they need some fresh ideas and a revamped menu to shake things up a bit.

I had lunch at Salena's Restaurant in the Village Gate recently, and I wasn't overly impressed. It may be different at dinnertime, but the food seemed rather tired and uninspired to me.
