Abbott's Custard is a Rochester tradition, and a popular spot for a treat on a hot day. They have locations all over the city. I'm not quite sure what the difference between ice cream and frozen custard is, but I know they are both very delicious. (Don't worry, frozen custard is NOT like frozen yogurt!) Abbott's offers a handful of different flavor choices each day, and they also make amazing frozen birthday cakes (or cakes for any occasion.) Once you try it, you will be hooked! Abbott's is the only place to get some sweet, frozen custard on a hot Rochester day. They offer many flavors of custard, including some specialty and seasonal flavors that you can get only there. They also make floats, and their own signature sundae's (which are huge!). The customer service is always very prompt, and the window workers are always willing to give a recommendation on custard flavors to get. Only minutes from the city, and there is plenty of parking available.

This place is a must try, they have some of the best custard I have ever had. The servings are plentiful and the selection is good. The prices are not bad either. You can get a handful of flavors and each of them is very good. My favorite is the blueberry if they have it. Just watch out on a hot day because it will melt fast.
