The food is great, the atmosphere is great, the decor is great. If I could have my house decorated like 2Vine, I'd never leave. 2Vine offers a bit of NYC upstate. The bar is always crowded yet they always manage to seat you quickly. The food is devine, but pricey. This is a great special-occasion restaurant. Arena's Florist does their decor and it is SPECTACULAR. I feel like I should be drinking Cosmopolitans and hanging out with the girls from Sex in the City there. Add this to your list of must-try eateries in Rochester.

This is one of Rochesters best restaurants, hands down. There is really nothing like it, very unique menu, greatly prepared food, simple enough to be fantastic, yet interesting enough to be big city worthy. The kitchen is open for diners to see (in the main dining room), and there is seating in the bar although that is usually for those who enjoy a more "lively" environment as it can get more uptempo. I actually enjoy that when I am with girlfriends, but if your looking for a more romantic setting, there are intimate tables in the main dining room. Servers are excellent and on top of everything, as well as knowledgable about the menu and how everything is prepared. It is definately a place to see and be seen, and there are many imitators although nothing close. For just a cocktail at the bar, for a special occasion, or just for lunch or dinner, Ihighly recommend 2-Vine. I have the feeling that many of these negative reviews may be from nearby restaurants who want some of their runoff business. Try if for yourself.
Pros: Great food, great lively ambiance
Cons: can get a bit crowded, they are ALWAYS busy!

Abbott's Custard is a Rochester tradition, and a popular spot for a treat on a hot day. They have locations all over the city. I'm not quite sure what the difference between ice cream and frozen custard is, but I know they are both very delicious. (Don't worry, frozen custard is NOT like frozen yogurt!) Abbott's offers a handful of different flavor choices each day, and they also make amazing frozen birthday cakes (or cakes for any occasion.) Once you try it, you will be hooked!

Abundance is a great place to shop. Support local farmers, and good politics while shopping healthier for your self and family. My favorite sections are the produce and the bulk, plus I'm always shocked at how yummy the vegan bakery goods are. And they have been expanding their selection of many things and are usually very willing to special order anything they don't carry.

The restaurant offers multiple dishes and combinations---we stuck with a combination platter to sample several items. The server (I assume he was also the owner) was completely helpful in recommending various dishes and translating the nuances of different items.
The food was steaming hot with a perfect amount of spice (probably an americanized version to avoid the overly spicy). The injera bread wasn't just on our platter, but there was also plenty stacked on a separate dish...probably enough for an entire family.
Service was low-key, yet attentive. At first, I thought the portions were small for two people, but we couldn't finish everything. We'll be back again soon!

Aside from the amazing staff, huge selection of beer, and relaxed fun
atmosphere, the food is great. Best pizza in rochester, and maybe upstate NY.
The bartenders are awesome, especially Sarah. Ok, ill admit i have a little bit
of a crush, but how could any guy not?!
For an amazing time with friends, a loyal local crowd and great drinks/food
all for an affordable price, this is the bar to be at every night of the week.

Agatina's is a popular Italian restaurant, and for good reason. They make their own pasta, sauces, and salad dressings! The portions are large, so you get your money's worth. I love the Shrimp Fra Diavola. Agatina's can also handle large groups with ease. My boss recently took 40 employees (including myself) to Agatina's for dinner, and we had seamless service; it was like there were only 5 of us! The food was fresh and made to order, and no one complained about their food!
