I think that the best local channel in Rochester is channel 8. I love all the CBS shows but it’s also because they do the best job of thier news and their morning show is the best. It’s called Wake UP Rochester and it give me news and weather but also some fun stuff so I don’t just want to crawl back into bed!

This place has batting cages, a driving range and a mini golf course. The mini-golf course is not that exciting but it is nice. Bruesters is located right next to here so you can go get ice cream when you are done with all the fun. The driving range is nice as well and is large. They have coupons on their web site that makes this place a great and inexpensive place for some fun with the family.

The Strong Museum is the best place to go for a day of fun! the kids never get bored! As a matter of fact, they often can't do every thing there is to do in one day so we end up going back for more. And the best part of it for me as the parent is they are learning as they are playing!

The seneca park zoo is a great zoo. Sure it isnt the Bronx zoo but we dont live in New York City. For the Rochester area a zoo like the senca park zoo is better then expected. They have a number of different animal displayed. The admission cost is what you would expect. The exhibits and zoo is clean and well taken care of. The zoo also puts on benefit events which are a good oppurtunity to help raise money for the zoo and have a good time.

This is a very nice, expanding Zoo. The kids will love coming here. The arctic display is excellent. They have small hands on sessions with a Zoo keeper and some of the animals. Our favorite are the penguins and the polar bears!

Seabreeze is a great alternative to those huge amusement parks with long waits and thousands of people. They may not have huge new roller coaster, their old wooden one is stiff a lot of fun. There are plenty of rides for both adults and kids, and the line waits are not long at all. There is also a water park that you do not have to pay extra to get into. Since the park is not too large, you get separated from your group less. Another great thing is that they let you bring you own food in instead of making you spend more money buying theirs.

The Rhinos are the local semi professional soccer team. They play in the USL division 1 league. This league has teams which are as good if not better then MLS teams. The games are great soccer matches. The tickets arent to expensive and you can even see them play against some MLS teams a couple times a year. If you are looking for a good soccer game buy a ticket and watch a game. The games usually draw a good crowd so it is a good time.

This has got to be one of the best teams in the minors! They have a great line up and many of their guys have gone to the bigs with the Twins and before that with Baltimore. Every Friday for home games they have fireworks and they often have the local orchestra play before games. They also have day games which is great if you’re a stay at home mom looking to keep their kids happy!

Seeing a night-time soccer game is a great activity for a family night, and this is the team to watch. They are entertaining, talented, and fairly inexpensive to go see. You definitely get you money's worth! They play downtown, not far from 490, and parking is pretty accessible and cheap. There is always a decent sized crowd, and the food is awesome.

How else are you supposed to see the best of broadway when you’re stuck way up here in Rochester NY?! These guys always pick the best shows to bring to town. The shows aren’t always great but you can’t blame them for that! I loved Moving ON and Lion King is coming! It really feels like NYC when you’re in the theatre!
