It is amazing how much rochester supports and adores this team. The team has amazing talent and is a blast to watch. And the fact that they can sellout frontier in rochester to see soccer is amazing. The new field should be around next summer so that will be good. we will see if the MLS will bite and give us a spot in there league.

I think that the best local channel in Rochester is channel 8. I love all the CBS shows but it’s also because they do the best job of thier news and their morning show is the best. It’s called Wake UP Rochester and it give me news and weather but also some fun stuff so I don’t just want to crawl back into bed!

During winter when there is nothing to do, you must go see the Amerks play some hockey. There is always a big crowd, lots of excitement, and great food. Tickets are available ahead of time, or at the door. The games are in the Blue Cross Arena, which is right downtown, and easy to get to. The fans that come are of all ages.... from little kids to grandma and grandpa... and they are all pretty faithful and devoted to their team, so it is always exciting and entertaining. Going to a game is great for a family night out, or a date, or anytime you are bored.

Regal is a great movie theater - they show a lot of movies, and the price is normal, 6.50 during the day and 8 at night. They have about 15 theaters, with 8 or so being larger and the rest being small ones. The whole place is very clean, including the bathrooms. The only downside is that you spend more on food than tickets, but that is the case at many theaters.

Many leading golf publications have listed Ravenwood as one of the top courses in the country. The course is kept in absolutely beautiful shape. The course includes the GPS system which is unique to all courses in western NY. The clubhouse is very nice. The course as a whole has a lot to offer for a very good price. The experience is truely worth every penny. It rivals the private clubs of the country easily.

I was so happy to find this upon moving to Rochester. Their community music school is a GREAT resource for anyone in the whole community. For young kids through adults, they offer individual instruction and lecture classes of all kinds. Their tuition for classes is discounted on a sliding scale, getting cheaper the more classes you take. They are very reasonable in price. The instructors are almost all either students at Eastman School of Music, instructors who teach in both programs, or instructors who studied at Eastman. A wonderful resource.

Borders is my all-time favorite book store--- My local Borders is located right across from Marketplace Mall in Rochester, NY.
The store is huge filled right up with books, puzzles, games, magazines, and friendly people.
I always stop here on Black Friday before ending my shopping day- Its so relaxing... No hustle bustle- no cranky moms trying to grab that last must have toy : ), just books, and peace!
grab a cup of cocoa and sit down--- take your kid and let them llok at books while you chill!
the workers here are great--- tell them what you are looking for and they show you- you can also look up books on the computer to point you to the right direction.
I just went shopping here and got a great deal- Buy 4 children's books get the 5th free... We're all readers in my family.

I love coming here to look...everything is very nice, but also very expensive. This is a great place to get a unique gift that your loved one will really love. They have lots of vases, serving plates, and decorations for a living room or bedroom. They also have lots of great art books. It is worth coming to look at least. You don't have to pay the admission price to get to the store either.
