This is such a great place to find any of the fabrics you may need. The selection is just huge. We are making the wedding attire for our attendants and we were having so much trouble finding what we were looking for until we came to this place. It is almost overwhelming the amount of fabric they have.

I have shopped here since I was in my teens :) They sell a lot of cool items. From shirts with all kinds of funny slogans/drawings, nice hippyish clothes, yummy incense, jewelry for all of your piercings, and gorgeous tapestries. The people who work here are friendly and helpful. They were gone for a while and re-opened in a new location, still on Monroe Ave. I am glad that this store is still here. Check it out if you have a funky edge.

This is one of my daughters favorite stops on the week after Christmas--
Michaels is a great store to shop in year round-- But even better when they have their holiday items on clearance--
Each year we go here and my daughter picks several crafting sets-- They are usually marked down 50% the first week after Christmas-- The kids ones.. They order alot of extras in for the holidays and what they don't sell- they mark down right after Christmas-
I buy alot of extras for birthday gifts or girl scout projects for the upcoming year.
Michaels has pretty neat holiday decor-- I picked up a lighted snowman last year for dirt cheap! They have snow globes, and fiberoptic decorations-
I always wait til after Christmas to pick up these items for the upcoming holidays- Its much cheaper that way-
If you love crafts or have someone who does--- Why not start your shopping real early for the next year??

I always shop at JoAnns every trip into the city. My mom is a huge crafter like me--- she works more with material-- This is hands down the best place to get material of all kinds-
Black Friday is no different- Flannel .99 yard-- Make some flannel pj's for the kiddos on your list. Fleece is always cheap on black Friday also--- Fleece pillows and blankets (no sew) are a bug hit with lots of people.
I visit several JoAnns- but my favorite location is at South Town plaza in Rochester, NY. There are lots of great stores in this plaza and lots of parking-
JoAnns has every kind of craft imaginable and they offer classed too.
Visit your local JoAnn's on black friday and whenever you need crafts!

Craft Service on University is one of the more interesting little shops in the area. When you walk in, you get the feeling that this Mom-and-Pop style business (and perhaps some of their merchandise) has been their forever. However, they do carry a fairly wide variety of supplies for various craft projects and the staff seems to be knowledgeable. I think they could really benefit from a few updates and improvements to their store to make them more competitive with more current places like Dan's and Michael's. Parking available in a small lot on the east side of the building.
