We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to give this place a try for lunch. Excellent food. I had the California roll sushi and a crisp green salad. My husband loved the cheesy potatoes (even though he's a purist baked potato kind of guy), their most popular side dish. The best part was the loaf of fresh sourdough bread! Prices were reasonable for the quality and food portions.

Whenever my sister and I go to Market Broiler we always go through two loaves of bread, its super crispy and always warm! there is an appetizer I think called the crab artichoke or shrimp artichoke dip and its way good! I usually get the fish tacos or a salad, and she always gets the fish and chips! It's a great place to bring family and friends because, you get a ton of food, and there is something there for just about anyone, even those picky eaters.
Pros: family atmosphere, friendly, overall great food
Cons: usually have to wait a bit

Oh man everything at this well kept Riverside secret is superb.....but OMG the catfish in a class by itself.
The catch is (get it) just try not to fill up on the sourdough bread. Did you note my prior fishing metaphor.
The clam chowder is some of the best in the Southland and you can bet the manager will stop by your table to make sure everything is up to par.
Pros: The food is worth the wait and you can purchase shrimp etc @ the counter
Cons: Plan to park FAR AWAY and walk as parking is horrid.

Market Broiler is too busy for our taste. There always seemes to be a wait. Years ago, my mother and I got food poisoning there off of a shrimp dinner. Of course, I do not hold that against them as food poisening is (unfortunately) a common thing in the restaraunt business. I have since returned. There are some good things about the restaurant such as the pricing and the menu is okay. It is way to loud, busy, and cramped. The last time we went the service was also too slow. Plus the servers look slopppy and the place looks dirty because of the high traffic.
PROS: Resonably priced, good location
CONS: Busy and loud.

Excellent place for breakfast anytime, even late night! This restaurant has a young and hip wait staff, ready to serve up some great eggs and toast. The music plays loud all day, and the coffee cups are bottomless. Serves alcohol during limited hours, and stays open until 3 a.m. on the weekends. Sit at the counter or get a booth, you wont be disappointed.

a long time, then decided to drop in and found that the food was much better than I'd remembered -- and for more reasonable prices than I'd remembered, too. We'll certainly return!
