This restaurant has really good food. I recommend the cheese enchiladas. Their margaritas are awesome. They have huge ones, 40 oz, I think, and you can choose what flavor and they are delicious!!

This is my husband & father's favorite place. The chips, salsa and tacos are EXCELLENT. I do have to say thought, that I got food poisioning from the Chalupa Salad once though...but that can happen anywhere and it was kinda my fault cause I kept eating it when it tasted "off". Overall, very tasty.

I wanted mexican food, but decided against El Torito. We had gone to Don Jose's before in Norwalk, and had a pretty good experience. This however, was not a good visit. The people were not friendly, and by that I mean mildly confrontational, the food was bland, which is not a good thing for mexican food. And the waiter could not be found throughout the meal, yet he came over once I had signed the check with the tip and quite assertively asked for it before we had finished our meal. On a friday night sort of date place, the TV was blaring and it just jarred with the mexican music. The condiments such as the guacamole and salsa were not prepared well at all I found huge chunks of tomato in both as well as Onions!! I do not recomend this place.

Me and my family were served promptly, and the people who work here are very nice and can accomodate any kind of crowd you bring with you. A lot of mexican restaurants dont meet the standard for hygiene, but this place was very clean and upkept. The food is really good and there is a wide variety of things you can buy.

Looking for a good Mexican food restaraunt, my family and I tried Don Jose's. It was very good. The chips and salsa were great. The service was good. We went on a Thursday evening and there was a wait list to our surprise. I had the Fajita Burrito which was good. If you want beans and rice, order a combination platter because you don't get that with the burritos. I would recommend trying this place and I would definitely go there again.
