This place is one of my favorite restaurants. They have the largest menu I have ever seen. There are literally hundreds of items on the menu. The pancakes are awesome; banana nut is my favorite. And the chocolate chip corn bread they give you is amazing.

This is probably the Sushi restaurant that has been around longest in Ridgewood- And there is certainly a reason for that. The sushi is fresh and always good. The prices are reasonable. The place is cute and the people incredibly friendly. The one con is parking in Ridgewood- But that is not the fault of this place. You may have to walk a bit to get here but it is well worth it. This place can get very busy- especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Of like the seven Japanese Restaurants in this town, this is by far one of the best for the prices.

Baumgart's is a two-location business with it's original restaurant in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Visit either one for a delicious meal.
The restaurant is a casual place with a diner like feel. No need to dress up to come here for lunch or dinner. There is a small counter with stools and several booths as well as a dining room. This place can get crowded and at times (especially weekends), there can be a wait, so come early.
Come here for Chinese food that is freshly prepared, vibrantly seasoned and just plain delicious. Some favorite appetizers include the pan fried dumplings, duck crepe, signature salad (with apples, oranges, salad greens & candied walnuts). Entree selections vary and include offerings of seafood (steamed whole sea bass is my husband's absolute favorite), shellfish, chicken, beef, lo mein and rice dishes. Each entree is served with a choice of brown or white rice.
Baumgart's also has excellent sushi and sashimi--ask for the menu. Special offerings are usually listed on a board by the front door.
Save room for dessert as the restaurant makes its own ice cream, cakes & pies. The ice cream confections include sundaes, a la mode, ice cream sodas. Vanilla, black raspberry, pistachio, strawberry, chocolate are just a few of the flavors. Ask what the special flavor of the week is.
The wait staff is efficient and moves quickly to take and place your order. While there is no liquor license, you are welcome to bring a bottle of wine which they will graciously open and keep cool for you.
My family and friends just love this place!

This restaurant is an amazing find in a town overcrowded with boring, sub-par restaurants. The service is amazing and the food is exquisite. I dined there last year for Valentine's Day and then again last week to celebrate my father's birthday. Both visits were flawless. Our most recent visit was mid-week and the 6 of us chose to do the 5-course prix fixe dinner. Each one of us loved every course and for the price ($44.50pp), it was an unbelievable deal. Some of the favorites were the Lobster Bisque, Crabmeat Strudel, Seafood Crepe and Veal Stroganoff. When I was there last year, I had the Beef Wellington which still remains to be one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time. If you love traditional French Cuisine, give Latour a try. I suggest going mid-week so that it's easy to get a table and you can enjoy the prix fixe dinner. Don't forget it's BYOB!
Pros: Prix Fixe Dinner, Reservations Accepted, BYOB
Cons: Small and Ambience needs work

Baumgart's has a variety of Chinese style dishes and Japanese cuisine. I've ordered a bunch of different dishes from spicy chicken with rice to an island wrap (or something of the sort) with turkey and mango inside.
It is a dine-in restaurant, but the atmosphere feels very much relaxed. The service is a little slow, but the food is totally worth the wait.

The food here is great. And also, at lunch time you can get pretty good prices. Their spider roll is really good; they aren't like they fake spider rolls you get else where. The crabs are actually crunchy.

This place has the best Greek food, bar none. The chicken special is my favorite with orzo. Nothing fancy but tastes great. The spanikopita is out of this world. The Greek salad is also good and enough to share for two. You have the option to sit outside or inside. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. You can also BYOB. A must if you are in Ridgewood.

The Office is a fun place to have a casual dinner and drinks with friends. The bar is decently sized with drink specials. The menu is similar to that of a Fridays-type restaurant, but with its own little twists on usual meals. There are typically specials of the night. I love that they serve fresh veggies and dip insted of bread on the table.
