They have famous people for booksignings. I don't know how they get them. Pamela Anderson, Bill Clinton, baseball superstars, anyone and everyone who you can think of they have had. For an independant bookstore, they have a strong celebrity pull. The staff is nice and the selection is good as well. I would shop daily there if I did not live so far away. I would recommend this place for anyone who lives in the area.

Bookends is mostly a generic little bookstore. In terms of the books they sell, they have some current bestsellers, and then a lot of their merchandise is pretty old, especially when it comes to particular categories like computer books. However, there is something very special about this bookstore. At least once a month on Sundays, the store will have a very well known celebrity come for a book signing. The books they’re signing are almost always new releases, and the lines for autographs are usually pretty long. In the store itself, next to their normal books, you’ll find signed copies. Aside from that, this store is nothing special.

This bookstore offers you many opportunities to meet the author of some of your favorite books. If youre lucky you can even get your book signed. Be cautioned the lines will probably be long so wear comfortable shoes. The store is well stocked and the staff is very friendly and helpful so do not hesitate to ask for help. They have some great gift ideas so be sure to stop by when doing your Christmas shopping.

This small-scale bookstore in Ridgewood, NJ has two floors--the main floor features a decent variety of books for sale. They offer--appropriately--decorative book ends and other small items like Beanie Babies and calendars. What definitely draws customers to this establishment is the incredible line-up of authors--celebrity and obscure. Bookends hosts author signings every month of the year, and because of this, lines of people waiting to get beloved books signed wait for hours outside the store at times.
If you miss the book signing, Bookends has a reserve of signed copies available for sale after the author has departed. In fact, this shop has the MOST signed copies of books available for purchase than I've seen anywhere. Bookends has hosted authors such as Bill Clinton, James Patterson, Mary Higgins Clark, and Bruce Campbell. An eclectic bunch to say the %
Patronize Bookends bookstore if you prefer shopping in a more personalized, independent bookstore. The staff is courteous and helpful, and their author signings absolutely cannot be beaten.
