We use Rockwood Park mostly for the biking and hiking trails. They have mountain biking trails that far exceed what we expected to find in there. The playground areas are fun for kids, and I have always found the park to be very clean and well kept.
It's convenient location at Hull Street and Courthouse Road mkes it easy to get to from all areas of Chesterfield County. It's a great park- bigger and better than many of the others nearby!

This place is fun every once in a while. There are batting cages, a golf range, and a putt-putt course. It can get very expensive for not a lot to do. To do the minimum of each activity it would cost around $15 per person, and for us there is only enough to keep us entertained for a couple of hours.

This is a great park for big kids, with nice tall play structures and a lot of slides -- the only issues I have with it are things that concern mother's with small kids, that's the nice TALL play structures and the fact that the bathrooms are pretty far away from the playground --
However this park also has a nice basketball area and a good bit of open space perfect for kite flying so it's still a good park!

This park is run by Chesterfield County parks and recreation. It has 1 playground area with the usual monkey bars and slides. It also has an adjacent area with some swings and sand. There are paved trails around the park that are great for walking, bike riding, skating etc. Many people walk their dogs there also. There are many baseball fields and areas good for attempting to fly kites. Basketball and tennis facilities are also available as well as several picnic areas. They even have a nature center that hosts programs for kids.
