In early 2005, I was a patient at Chippenham for total knee replacement surgery. I could not have asked for a better experience in a hospital-except not to have one at all!
The staff was all very professional, caring and concerned. They responded quickly to requests made and in some cases seemed to go beyond the requirements needed to tend to a patient.
I would definitely return to this hospital if and when I need future medical care.

NOVA is an indoor aquatic center. They offer swim lessons throughout the year. I highly recommend their lessons. Their beginner lessons are right on target. After the children are more advanced, they teach them to swim in the context of a swim team. They learn how they would be expected to do their swimming strokes if they were in a swim competition. Not every child will be on a swim team, but it is good for them to learn proper techniques.

Well as I said, it is a great place to get some normal hair cuts, now if you are looking for a little something different like me, this is not the place for you. There are great people there, and the prices are average for a hair cut these days. I went to this place when I was younger, and loved it.

I've been getting my hair cut there for many years. Each of the barbers is good, and it's a cool barber shop atmosphere. Business, finance and sports magazines to leaf through while you wait, and then a no b.s. haircut for $13 in 15 minutes. Nice guys. At N. Allen and W. Broad.

After living in Richmond for 9 years, I have tried many many hair salons. I've tried upper class salons and cheaper walk-in salons. I've always walked out unhappy for one reason or another. They didn't do what I wanted them to, they cut my bangs really short, they cut my hair really short and the list goes on.
Then I complimented a co-worker on her hair one day. She told me that I should try her hairdresser and since I was in desperate need of a haircut (it was going on a year since I had the nerve to go anywhere), I made an appointment that week.
I was delighted that they had an opening for me and my daughter that very Saturday! I find that very unusual. I showed up that morning with my reluctant daughter who was afraid they would chop all of her hair off. Jay saw us right away. I went first since my daughter was so nervous. Jay did a great job! She spent a lot of time with each one of us, she knew the latest styles and trends and listened to everything both of us had to say. She gave her advice but was completely fine with us taking her advice or not. I will definitely keep going there. My daughter has been begging for us to go back so I need to make an appointment as we speak.
If you've had a hard time finding a great place in Richmond, this is the hair salon for you.

My girlfriend has been coming to Daniella for facials since before she opened spa310. She finally talked me into getting one myself. I'm glad she did because it was a very pleasant experience. She was professional and made me feel comfortable. I never knew how important skin care was until my visit, and I plan on taking better care of mine.

A wonderful experience! The entire staff is just great and the spa is truly beautiful and relaxing.. The best haircolor and nail services I have found in Richmond. I felt so pampered. Can't wait for a massage and facial.
They are so attentive to the client. Made me comfortable from the moment I entered. And they really listened to what I wanted done. I've never felt better, and I looked terrific when they finished working their "magic". I'll be giving their gift certificates to a few special people.

I walked into Paper on the Avenue having had some negative invitation shopping experiences up in the Northern Virginia (pushy sales, rude staff, too pricey) so I was so pleased to walk right into this beautifully appointed, intimate store with no call ahead only to be served by the manager of the store who was as nice as could be!
I had very little idea of what I wanted but by the end of my visit I had save the dates and invites picked out, wording taken care of and an idea about prices. The sales person spent TONS of time with me and guided me through what I consider a pretty overwhelming process. The prices were VERY reasonable compared to what I was seeing up north, well worth a drive. And I always received prompt response to questions and the proofs and invites were in such a timely fashion.
The save the dates were great and my invitations are exactly what I wanted. I would recommend this store to any bride.
Pros: service, products, atmosphere, prices
Cons: parking and driving in Libbie/Grove area!
