While the exhibits can be a bit mundane for adults, especially after multiple visits because the main exhibits don't really change, there are a lot of neat things for kids to do. They do a pretty decent job of making learning fun and everything is hands-on. The best thing is the IMAX dome; they get educational shows, fun shows (like Disney's Beauty & the Beast), and adventure documentaries that make you feel like you are really in the place the film is of. The gift shop is a great place to shop -- lots of cool things.

We have been pleasantly surprised by the variety of programs, films, lessons, and exhibits that the Science Museum puts on -- they are redoing one whole section to be finished soon and while I look forward to that I can still enjoy a toddler play area, a game of "Rat Basketball" films at the Imax dome, tons of regular exhibits on DNA, the human body, weather, and local wildlife -- there's also a changing exhibit in the basement that rotates 3 or 4 times a year, concert series called 'swinging on the tracks' and other fun things --
The building was once a train station and still has all the look and feel of it, they keep a few train cars and some train exhibits for people who are interested in the building's history --
Highly recommended!
