We came to Dr. Swann for the first time in July 2006 with a long-term family member, Puff Daddy, a long-haired mix black and white cat (a very large and masculine cat, hence the name Puff Daddy), which had been diagnosed with leukemia in May. We came to Dr. Swann as Puff's last veterinary visit. A large national vet had tested Puff in May ($500 later) and wanted to charge me another $125 to put Puff to sleep 2 months later. I came to Dr. Swann's clinic knowing the fee was less than $50. Dr. Swann was empathetic and compassionate for my pain and the suffering of Puff. This story is still very dear to my heart. I love Puff with all my heart and miss him terribly. I can't help but cry as I am writing this due to my loss and due to the generosity and rare compassion I received from Dr. Swann and his staff.
During our visit, Dr. Swann took the time to explain to me the advanced stage of Leukemia Puff was in. Due to my inconsolable state he advised I needed private time with Puff before servicing him. When it was over Dr. Swann politely excused me out the back door for added privacy. Within the next 2 weeks that followed I received a "hand-written" note from Dr. Swann, himself. I could tell it was from him due to the writing (it was not the writing of a young assistant). He was so concerned with my well-being and wanted to reassure me that I made the right decision that he felt compelled to personally write me. WOW!
I have counted my blessings more than once to have met Dr. Swann.
BTW: We stopped paying the large national vet for monthly wellness fees on our other family member, a Labrador named Sadie, and will continue to use Dr. Swann for all our veterinary needs. I have advised all my friends and neighbors to use him. One of my neighbors e-mailed me today that she is taking her new pet, Loppie, that they adopted from the City pound yesterday to Dr. Swann due to my story. Dr. Swann and his staff really do care for your well-being and your pet's. They treat more than your pet's physical needs. They do their best to heal your family.

Both Dr. Swann and Dr. Major have treated many of my pets with great care and sensitivity. I moved across Dallas and now live in Plano with greater access to other Vet Services providers, but I'd never change.
Dr. Major is great about explaining long term, preventative care for your pet and helping you understand what their going through.

I must brag on this wonderful facility. My parents used the same vet in the 1970s so I am quite fond of everyone here. Their staff go above and beyond the call of duty to help a customer. They know me and my kids and the animals by name and it makes me feel good. The office is immaculate and doesn't have an animal odor. My kids favorite part is the huge candy jar by the door, as well as the beautiful huge fishtank in the waiting area. The 2 vets are highly trained and will always do what is best for your furry friends.

Both Dr. Swann and Dr. Major are wonderful Drs and deeply care about the wellfare of your animal. The rest of the staff is extremely helpful and nice. They are always able to fit us in if something happens, and my animals seem to fit right in. Out of all the local business's in Richardson, this one is by far my favorite. I genuinely care for the people here just as much as they care about my beloved animals. So worth it!
