Our family absolutely loves shopping here for books, CDs, gifts and movies. They carry brand new products as well as used for quite a bargain. I come here a lot for gifts for loved ones, and never are they disappointed. I just wish I could get a cup of coffee inside! Shop here first before going to a large chain bookstore. Chances are Half Price Books will have it. And if they don't they can order it from you. I bet you won't be disappointed!

The bookstore in richardson caters to UTD students. They sell used and new books. Make sure you buy your books early as this store sells out of their used books EXTREMELY FAST! The prices are not "the best deal in town", I have definately received better deals on books on half.com or on the student book exchange online. However, I have always loved shopping because the staff is always willing to help. They have UTD logo products and planners. The variety is endless.

This place has a lot to offer, but they don't get the newest movies at first, which is a bad thing if you watch a lot of indian movies and expect a new one every week. The owner is very friendly, but it would be hard for a non-HIndi speaking person to shop here. They also have a wide selection of groceries

I once had to take my watch in to get the battery replaced and the links adjusted. The employees were extremely nice and the work was done in a very quick manner. Under 10 minutes I'd say. The price was affordable and I didn't see any damage to my watch (such as scratches, which often happen at low end stores where the work is not as careful). I had a little time to look at the jewelry, and they had a large selection to choose from. The prices were a little high, but what do you expect fomr a jewelry store?

This is my favorite resell book shop. You can find just about any book you're looking for. They also have a generous trade in policy. Customer service is wonderful. There is an extensive mystery novel collection. I've found many hard to find mysteries needed to complete my favorite author's sets. Located conveniently across from Richardson Square Mall.

Atlantic Video is a veritable heaven for fans of Indian cinema. They offer thousands of videos and DVDs for rent in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Punjabi, and many other languages. They also have a selection of DVDs for sale, and unlike most Asian groceries, the products here are legit, non-pirated copies. They also sell movie soundtracks, with a wide selection of all the most popular Hindi soundtracks and also Indian popular and traditional music. They even sell all kinds of cassette tapes for you dinosaurs out there. =) The posters they have on the walls are also for sale, and they have a selection in front of the front desk that you can choose from. Finally, they also have copies of Filmfare, Stardust, Femina, and other desi magazines.
Service is pretty friendly. If you have any questions or you need recommendations, they will be happy to help. Overall I don't think the prices are the cheapest (it usually cost less to buy these things online), but it's kind of nice to have everything in a physical store.

I have never seen a bigger selection of 22k ethnic jewelery! The staff there is great and very helpful. The store is very neat and clean and provides a "homey" atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and their after sale services are exceptional. I went there to repair a chain which I didn't even buy there and they repaired it for free!

My husband found this store when he was trying to get some office chairs for a start up company that didn't have much cash flow. He was so thrilled with what he got for such a great price! Needless to say he has returned here often over the years to buy all kinds of things for business. They have anything you might find in a business setting when it comes to furniture, it is all donated, but you can find many items in like new condition and the prices are extremely reasonable. The profit goes to Children's Medical Center, so you feel extra good about your purchase!

My family and I have visited all the jewelers in the Dallas area over many years and we found Govindji's (formerly Star Jewelers) Jewelers the very best amongst all. We were always quite impressed with the quality of their diamonds and gold jewelry, not to mention their amazing showroom. Wow is the word to describe the ambience! The staff is courteous, friendly, patient and very helpful. Not pushy at all like the other neighborhood jewelers. They let you take your own time in looking at different styles and choosing the jewelry in your budget. They have such a wide variety of selection in just about everything including brand name watches. It's mind boggling to see such fantastic collection in just one place.
If you are looking for jewelry, gold or diamond, for yourself, family or
relatives; for engagement, wedding or any other occasions I would strongly recommend for you to visit Govindji's first before any other stores. Once you make your purchase from them you will become their life long customer through satisfaction of getting your money's worth and more..
Their jewelry is priced according to the supreme quality they offer. If you only care about the low price and think you can get the same thing at much lower cost at other stores you are sadly mistaken.
PROS: My family and I really like their fixed price policy. The price you see is the price you pay. It's not like other stores where they raise it up much higher for starters and then take off some later on making you think you made a better deal.
