I had a good experience at the north Plano location, but the Richardson location left me frustrated and disappointed and with a powerful need to brush my teeth.
I ordered dinner for my family to go. As I watched them pack up the to-go bags, I noticed two small boxes set down and ready within 5 minutes (the samosas and child's noodles). It was shortly joined by two dinner sized boxes... and then the wait started. After about 30 minutes, my final dinner box was ready and handed to me. By the time I got home (2 minutes down the street), the samosas and noodles were stone cold. Then I couldn't find my dish... Instead I found Chicken Tikka Masala when I ordered Dal Fry (lentils). Kinda hard to mix those dishes up.
So I called and they said they'd switch it out. So I got there and within 5 minutes I had my lentils and was ready to go. I got home and was told my daughter's noodles had veggies instead of eggs in addition to being cold. My husband's Vindaloo had not a trace of a pepper in it, and half way through my Dal Fry (which was too spicy when I asked for medium heat), I bit into a chunk of DIRT. That did it for me. I called and I'm getting my money back, but I'll never return to the Richardson location.
More gripes: The samosa was made with a very thick eggroll-type sweet wanton wrap. I've had waaay better.
Another group who were eating there while I waited for my take out had a bad dining experience as well. Two diners got their dishes about 15 minutes before the third at the table. One of those two had requested rice in place of noodles that usually came with a dish. Apparently this was difficult to remedy. After much argument the manager brought out a large dinner plate piled high with basmati rice. He set it on the table and left without a word. Can you say passive-aggressive?
So in summation:
*Wrong orders
*Mis-timed orders so some gets cold for take-out or a

I like only one dish here and my husband is still looking for the one he likes. We've been here about 5 or six times and I always get the Chicken Tika Masala. It is wonderfully full of aroma, a bit spicy and comes with a big piece of Naan. I think they went skimpy on the Naan though because the first time I ate here it was fabulous. Now the chicken seems drier and I really don't like how the price is getting higher. This place fuses a bit of Chinese with Indian flavors so people can choose what they want.

Masala Wok is the place to go for chicken tikka masala (aka butter chicken/ chicken makhani). The burnt nan bread served with the dishes are rubbery and taste like stretched out silly putty. I have stopped dining inside the Richardson location because ALL the staff are extremely rude and uncourteous. If you express any kind of dislike with the food or service, politely or not, the staff is very complacent and unapologetic about it. On one occassion, I have literally been yelled at by the head waiter. Not a pleasant eat-in experience, but the food is good.
PROS: Chicken Tikka Masala
CONS: Service / Nan Bread

Me and my friends have been there a couple of times.
The food is good but a limited number of items. Basically its an indian and chinese restaurant.
The food taste can vary from low spicy , medium spicy and very spicy depending on your tastes.
Overall its a good hang out place and good for evening snacks but not a real good place for a nice filling lunch or dinner and moreover the environment does not give you a homely feeling.
PROS: Good Food, Good number of choices
CONS: Not a real homely environment

I tried the Lamb Curry, spicy, per DMN reviewer's recommendation. It was quite good, esp. on a wintry afternoon, but the chunks of lamb not as tender as the reviewer found. The nan with it was good I ordered a second serving to soak up the curry, which was agreeably hot and flavorful. The portion was more than adequate, esp. for the reasonable price. I'll try this location again, to see if I find the other dishes are as good, or if I run into the stale chicken or shrimp another review mentioned. It would be a shame if they don't insure their meats are fresh, the concept and pricing are on target.

The most popular dishes there seem to be Chicken Tikka Masala and the Blazing Masala Noodles. Whether or not you like it is up to your own taste buds -- while I loved the Chicken Tikka Masala, I could not get used to the mixture of the Chinese noodles with Masala sauce. The dishes are all tasty and prepared well, but you really should try different things to figure out what you like and don't like.
Expect to see an atmosphere mixed with mostly UTD college students, local Indian families, and some Indian-food lovers.
