You will experience a nice and beautiful decor once you enter this restaurant. Their menu is simple and the prices are very affordable. We love their lunch specials and Dinner Trio specials. Their food is excellent and so is their service. I've been telling all my friends about this restaurant. They are the best in Dallas.
Pros: Everything is great.

I came across Betchee's during my business day, and stopped in. I've never had Brazilian cuisine before, but, was pleasantly surprised. It's like a little bit of Rio-from the little shop where you can buy Brazilian products to the lunch buffet that cost me around $10-I was very pleased with the variety-and the aromas in the restaurant made me forget I was sitting right off I-75! The owner told me she's hosting a Brazilian Mardi Gras on the property in May, and is bringing in a Brazilian band for an authentic Brazilian festival! I can't wait. The owner explained to me that during her recent absence she left the restaurant in the hands of several individuals who weren't as passionate about the restaurant as she is-and now she's back and planning to expand the restaurant to include outdoor seating. Betchee, I'll be back!
Pros: Wide variety, wonderful aromas, very friendly staff & owner
Cons: NONE

I used to be a regular at Sushi Sake a few years back. The manager was kind of weird and the service was spotty, but I put that aside because of the great sushi they had (also take into account there were limited choices for sushi about 6 years ago).
I moved to Austin, and came back last year. The service now is just horrible. I guess people found out about Sushi Sake and now the staff thinks they are doing people a favor by serving them sushi. The waitresses are rushed and never smile or look you in the eye, and they barely talk to you. The manager is even ruder than ever. She is pushy and acts like it's a burden to find you a table when you walk in the door. I've even seen her yell at people who were just inquiring about getting a table. She's actually the owner's wife so she apparently doesn't care what you think.
The worst part is, the sushi isn't even as great anymore!! There used to be a really good chef there who I think is still there now, but he is definitely slipping (he is actually getting kind of old now). The other sushi chefs are just okay, but I have found other great sushi places nearby that are cheaper and provide much better service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone anymore.

Wonderful place that lives by reputation. This is an out of the way place, but it is always busy. Extremely fresh fish and wonderful service. We always sit at the bar and love it. Try the Aji - Japanese Mackeral - it was delivered fresh while we were there the last time -OMG fresh! Much milder than regular mackeral. And if you are brave, order it sashimi and have them fry the bones for you - yes, I said fry the bones!
Like another reviewer said, during the winter months, try the Ankimo, very mild buttery pate like monkfish liver that is steam cooked. Or try the Sashito peppers fried and ask for Ponzu sauce. Yummy mild green peppers they tempura fry or grill if you like.
I am not sure what the reviewer that complaind ate, but this IS Sushi and $40 for two is about par for Good Sushi - not cheap rolls and two for one specials. No way they ordered just tempura and paid that. Sorry you had a bad experience - we have eaten here for years and has always been good.
Pros: Super Fresh fish
Cons: Cost - but hey, it is sushi

Taj Mahal Imports is the premier South Asian supermarket in the DFW area. Basically whatever your needs are, they can meet them. Besides the typical grocery store selection of fresh produce, breads, spices, instant meals, etc, they also sell items for pooja, jewellery (glass bangles and the like), magazines (India Today, Filmfare, etc), henna paste, home decorations, and more. In the back is their Chat Corner which is fairly well known around here; the chaat's quite good, and they also have pani puri as well as full meals with roti etc., and also kulfi and a variety of cold drinks. There's satellite TV for you to watch while you eat.
The selection is the best thing about this place; do check your labels though before you buy anything, some of the expired stuff is not moved out of the store for months afterward!
The store draws quite a crowd around 7 or so. There is no minimum required for credit card purchases.
