My guy works with Edward Jones out in Fairwood in Renton. Steve Tolonen is his name. I live in North Seattle but I would drive 5x as far to see him. He has helped me set up a fabulously diverse portfolio for my aging parents that I love. My folks had been rooked into a bad, long term, low paying anuity, which Steve helped us get out of. We had to pay a penalty to get out it but when we did the math we were better off to jump ship, pay a penalty and put the money elsewhere rather than ride out the ten year wait. When the anuity company lied to our faces and wouldn't release the money, Steve went after them. I don't know what he said or did but the money showed up shortly afterwards. Oh yes, Steve now also has all my investement money and administrates my company's retirement plan.

I smiply called the office to schedule a consultation appointment. The woman who answered the phone started quizzing me on all of my financial information and stated that "if I did not have $50,000 cash to invest with them or move from another broker she wouldn't even schedule me a consultation appointment." WOW!
I actually have quite a substantial amount of money that I was looking to get financial advice on how to structure, but I am certainly not going to share that information with some stranger who just picked up the phone! Not to mention she was extremely short and condescending! I SAY TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! IF YOU CAN'T TREAT EVERYONE WITH RESPECT $50,000 OR NOT I DON'T TRUST, RESPECT, RECOMMEND OR DO BUSINESS WITH YOU!
