If you can afford it, a ride on the Spirit of WA Dinner Train is a romantic, unforgettable experience. Starting in Renton, you travel by train up to the Columbia Winery, enjoying the views out the window as you eat a delicious lunch (you have the choice of several entrées when you book your trip). After a visit at the Columbia Winery (make sure to try tasting some of their wines) you travel back to Renton as you eat an amazing desert. It is a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience!

Stopped in last night for the 1st time for a bite/brew and must say that for a pub in downtown Renton, this place rocks! Huge freaking hamburger, well adorned, great fries and fast/friendly service made it worth venturing out in the cold. Many, many local beers on tap (always a good thing) and a barkeep who knows his pours....yeah!

This is the best local Italian food I've found. Whether you have pizza, pasta, salads or a sandwich...it's all great. The owners are also the friendliest couple ever. I love going here to eat and to take home. It's the best.

I have been searching in Portland for a restaurant that serves Honey Walnut Prawns, but to no avail. Every time I come up to Seattle, I make it a priority to stop and eat at Little Peking. Not only are the prices good, and the variety is grand, but I have always received very good service and the ingridients were always fresh!
Pros: Variety and decent prices
Cons: Too far away from Portland

We've always gone to Seattle, Bellevue or Kirkland for Thai food. No more. Why did it take so long to find this wonderful place? Best food in Renton - period. Add terrific service and atmosphere plus extremely reasonable prices. Don't judge this terrific place from the outside like we did. So many menu choices that are all terrific. Wow!!
Pros: Great service and food. Always good parking.

3 of us were there on a Saturday night. We are all chinese and we know good authentic chinese food and this came pretty close. It was however, packed and we waited almost 20 minutes for a table. Don't expect too much of a great *ambiance*. It is usually lacking in authentic chinese restaurants. The food is what sells.
Pros: Authentic food, large portions
Cons: Crowded

More
I have eaten at many restaurants, but when we stumbled upon this one it was a true delight. Not only for the fact that you are encouraged to be messy by throwing your peanut shells on the floor, but that the restaurant has a great sense of humor and even better food. In the true style of a Texan Roadhouse this place even has a display case of meat when you enter the lobby. A big barrel of peanuts awaits you just in side the door as well. Be sure to grab a scoop full when the hostess brings you to your table. Kids and adults alike enjoy the opportunity to just toss things on the floor. Their yeast rolls with honey whipped butter are grand. The food and service have always proven to be exquisite. They even allow you to substitute side items with anything from their "side trips" listings, without one complaint.
The only con I can say is that its not as affordable as I might wish. But you definately get what you pay for!
