I like the ambience, and the layout of the place. There is wine/bar section, a special VIP-type room in the back for small private party or intimate dining, there is an outdoor patio seating area, there is plenty of seating at another bar looking into the kitchen area, there is a nice big stage and the main part of the restaurant is very spacious. The food is great, especially the filet mignon was tasty and tender, the cheesecake was good too. Moreover, was the entertainment, great musicians, just a great place to hang out on a Friday night after a long work week.

I had an opportunity to eat at Doofers Bar & Grill recently and found it to be some of the best food on the Eastside. We went on a Friday night and had the Prime Rib. To my surprise it was better that the high priced steakhouses in Seattle. We were so pleased with our meals that we went back on Sunday for their breakfast. Oh MY Goodness. From seafood omlets to specialty french toast and everything in the middle it was great! Can't wait to go back.

This is a place where I can chill, have a few beers, watch the game without being bothered, or talk to a few cool people. Bartenders are awesome and the owners hang out and talk to customers! I'm definitely chillin here more often to get away from all the posers and nerds in washington. Love that DC burger! and everyone is real.
Pros: Most original people in Washington
Cons: none

The one on in Benson Plaza has good food and a great atmosphere. Judging the various Torero's we have been to it seems to it is our favorite. The staff are the friendliest and the food seems to be just a bit better - but that could be the environment. Great value for the money, family atmosphere, great time. And still, get the Diablo Shrimp.

This is a great Irish Pub in the south end! It's big, open & brings in the people! Upstairs has more tables along with 2 pool tables. The downstairs has nice dark wood everywhere with regular tables as well as booths for plenty of seating. They have most of the better beers on tap along with a huge array of liquor and the bartenders are really Irish! The food is made from authentic Irish recipes as well. The Shepherd's pie is awesome and the Fish & Chips are recommended as well. The crowds seem to come in on the weekends and the age groups run from 21 on up. It seems to be a place anyone of any age can have fun and be comfortable.
Pros: Big space, good food, good beers.
Cons: Can get a little packed up at the bar area.

The service here is the best, the wait staff know how to hustle, remember regulars, refill your glass even when drinking diet coke. A juke box sometimes plays favorites. TV's show a variety of sports programs. Best place for darts, several pool tables. Great pizza and usually several good drafts on tap. My favorite is their BLT, wonderful. We typically leave having eaten for under twenty bucks including a couple beers. Easy access off I-167 take the 43rd exit and go about 1 block south.

This bar is always packed. It has a restaurant that shares the same kitchen/menu without the pub atmosphere next door. I love their prawns, the chicken is good, my husband eats this roast beef packed with rare beef and onion. They serve everything with tons of home fries. Its behind Safeway in the Fairwood area, up 140th from Maple Valley Highway. Good beer, pool tables, big screen tv with sports.

More
This new hot spot in Renton, also serves up a great beer, in our case, Alpine Ale, with two free samples of Harp beer from Ireland and Deschutes Pale Ale when Bob explained he really liked beer. Needless to say, we liked the service provided by the sole waiter and bartender, but we were also there after usual lunch hours. They also have good food -- I tried the Harp beer battered fish and Bob had the prime rib dip sandwich which was tender, not over done, and not fatty, hurrah, I'll try that one the next time although my cod was good. It comes with fresh fries. The menu is somewhat limited, salads, sandwiches and bar food for lunch, and also salmon, steak, prawns and pork loin for dinner. Happy hour nightly from 4-6pm and on Thursday night from 10pm - midnight. The interior is suitably dark, with lots of seating on the lower and upper levels, and a couple pool tables. Music sounds like British/Irish rock and isn't so loud that it annoys. The entry isn't very apparent -- it's off the side parking lot which has maybe a dozen spaces but there's more room in the town parking garage and on the street.
