Last night my husband and I went to Happy Veggie for the first time, and we will definitely return. The food is excellent; it is very high quality, with fresh ingredients. The Mongolian "Beef" was amazing, it could not have been better! The flavors tied together perfectly, and not only was the portion quite generous, but the dish had a lot of soy meat in it. We had the spring rolls, pad thai, and cheesecake dessert as well. All were just as impressive. The cheesecake was totally vegan, so it didn't taste like traditional cheesecake, but it was delicious in its own way. Not only was the food great, but service was impeccable as well. Granted the restaurant wasn't very busy, but the woman serving was attentive and timely. The food was served at the perfect tempo: not too slow, but not rushed either. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Pros: Top Notch Food, Friendly and Capable Service Cons: If anything decorating, but who cares?

It?s the best vegetarian restaurant that I?ve ever been to. What makes it so crazy good is that they really know how to put together textures, flavors, and colors to make their food palatable beyond belief. My taste buds are in heaven every time I go there. I?ve never had one bad dish. I?ve taken about 6 non-vegetarians there and they?ve all gone back?even as soon as the next day. Oh?and you must try their vegan cheesecake. I don?t know how they do it, but to me, it?s even better than a non-vegan cheesecake. It?s so light and creamy ? not heavy so that it weighs you down. The service is also excellent ? super friendly and hospitable. Parking is super easy. Pros: quality of food, service, parking Cons: none

I am vegan and from out of town. I have been visiting family in Redondo Beach and have tried a few of the vegetarian/vegan restaurants in the area. Happy Veggie is not my favorite. The service is not so great and I have had more than a few upset stomachs after my dinning there. Could be the over processed veggie-meats and food coloring they use (the sweet & sour chicken is bright pink). I have only been here a couple times and each time have been disappointed. There are much better vegetarian spots in the area with friendlier service. Pros: none Cons: everything
