I attended Beryl Elementary in the *ahem* 1970's. I have nothing but fond memories, especially climbing 'The Wall" on the playground...Do they still have the May-Day festival? I was 'King' of the festival in 1976

I LOVED going to Parras! Academically the teachers were great and the selection of classes were brilliant. Technologically Parras is very much superior to the neighboring Adams middle school. With a campus wide student run news program, techers could switch their tv's on to channel XX ( its been a while so i don't recall exactly) and view student presidents announcing the weekly activities every monday morning.
Moreover, the location makes socializing a breeze. Nearby is the Redondo Pier and Rivalution, an Internet Cafe.

This foreign language immersion preschool offers several different language options including Spanish and Italian. The teachers are enthusiastic and. The classes are fast paced and the kids seem to enjoy them. For me, however, the negatives outweigh the positives. The classrooms are cramped and the bathroom situation is pretty bad. Whenever one kid has to go, everyone has to line up and follow that kid outside and around the corner to a shared bathroom. Also, the price is extraordinarily high. If you're thinking about sending your child to this school, check into observing a class ahead of time. You'll get a good idea of what the classes are like before you spend a lot of money on them.

I have visited the Redondo Beach Ballet School only to determine whether it is a good place to send my daughter who wanted to learn ballet. I scheduled an appointment with the secretary to meet with one of the instructors but when I arrived, the instructor apparently did not know about the meeting so I ended up talking with someone else. The class I viewed seemed to be organized and the kids seemed to be enjoying themselves.

CompUSA prints great offers in the weekly paper for their electronics, but shopping there is a pain unless you know exactly what you want and where it is. When I went to this store looking for the sale laptop, the staff didn't even know which one was on sale. I had to show them the ad. The "expert" I talked to about a laptop told me that the average life of a laptop battery is a couple of days. Go somewhere else.
