I took my son to see "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" at the Sprouts Theatre several months ago to get him some culture! I told him we were going to see "Snow White" and he kept thinking we were going to watch TV. Well, this theatre is pretty cool because if the kids want they can sit on the floor in front of the stage. He sat with the other kids at first but then decided to sit with me. They had both adults and children in the cast. The production was great (although there was a scary part where some of the kids cried). Another great thing about it is that you get to meet the cast after the show. My son got a photo op with Snow White.

I've only brought my children here once. It's nice to have a playhouse that's not in downtown, so the geography is wonderful. They present children's plays, which are nice to have during the winter months, when there's not much to do. The plays are good quality and keep the kids and family entertained. However, the seating arrangement is less than ideal. The way the theater is configured, it can be difficult to see, depending upon where you are sitting.

The Sprouts Children's Theater within Second Story Repertory in Redmond Town Center is fantastic.
Their four show seasons are filled with great classics like "The Frog Prince," "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," and "The Brave Little Tailor." Each 45-60 minute show includes music and singing and audience participation/interaction.
The theater is intimate, and seating for kids, should they want it, is right on the floor in front of the stage. (My own daughter prefers to sit in a seat with us.)
My biggest rave about Sprouts is the $8.50 ticket price. Absolutely a great value, and if you become a subscriber, you receive a discount. Subscribers are also granted earlier access to the theater for better seating.
If you have kids and are looking for a fun way to spend some time with them (especially in the winter months), give the Sprouts productions a try!
