Heard this place had a new owner so I checked it out. Great food and a nice place to just relax. It's nice to still find places like this on the Eastside.

It has been transformed by a new owner into the Stone House Cafe. Less fussy than the old teahouse with great sandwiches, salads and authentic soda fountain desserts.

For those who say that you like it, I would "agree" because I liked the place too but I would "disagree" because:
"From Redmond's historic "1914 Stone House" to the world wide web, we are pleased to now offer our teas for sale online! ... SASSY TEAHOUSE & BOUTIQUE IS NOW CLOSED. Retail liquidation in progress. Many heartfelt thanks to our faithful patrons over the past three years. We hope that your experiences at Sassy brought many blessings to you."

Which one of those drop-dead gorgeous women running the place was the owner? It was such a gem of a place, it's too bad that somebody didn't perpetuate it, like the members of the local historical preservation society. (And so I thought why not give it 5-Stars and rub people's noses in it?) Oh well, c'est la vie.

Sassy Teahouse and Boutique is a little gem hidden in downtown Redmond. They offer a delicious selection of teas, cakes and finger sandwhiches and one of my favorite things to do is visiting it with my four year old daughter who loves to "play tea" with me in this feminine, quaint establishment. Even though my daughter prefers to share my table and hang out where the adults hang out, there is also a little area where moms can drop their kids off to play with the other kids. It is really a little treasure.

This cute little place is a teahouse! They serve many varieties of tea in a very feminine and comfy atmosphere. They also have a delicious selection of finger sandwiches and cakes. In one corner of the place, they have a variety of tea accessories (teacups, teapots, teas, and other trinkets) on sale as well, which can make great gifts.

Sassy Teahouse is a darling place with great tea and desserts and a really cute, vintage atmosphere. I really enjoy going there with my mom and sisters for delilcious new teas, as well as bringing my aunts and grandma when they're in town. It really is a fun thing to do with the girls, and there is a boutique with unique gifts and teapots. You can also buy their loose tea to go--my favorites are Sassy's House Blend and their Carmel-Decaff (that actually has bits of carmel in it). This place really is a real treat!

I have two young girls who absolutely love the Sassy Teahouse and Boutique. I was hesitant to bring them in at first, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this place to be child-friendly. They have Children's books and toys by the waiting area (two comfy, overstuffed floral couches by the fireplace) and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The teahouse is small, cozy, and offers a warm retreat from our often hectic schedules. I'm not sure if it's because of the ambiance, but when my girls are there (3 and 4 y.o.), they actually behave and act like little princesses!
The menu has an array of delicious pastries (I'm a huge fan of their scones) and comfort foods. I intended on trying a variety of teas, but was instantly hooked on their house blend!
There isn't much parking, and there is limited seating, so I would recommend reservations or going for breakfast since it has been a very long wait during lunch hours.

Ah, the Sassy Teahouse...wonderful pasties, exquisite tea, gorgeous salads, and tomato bisque soup to absolutely die for. This is a great getaway for lunch, though parking can be a pain, and there's not a lot of seating--wonderful for bridal showers, wedding showers, and if you just need a quick break from work, this is the place to go.
I highly recommend the Blackberry Goat Cheese salad--get it with the tomato bisque soup (I have to have it every time I go) and a nice glass of peach-flavored iced tea. Yum!
