I've worn glasses for over 20 years and wish I'd left the corporate glasses retailers sooner. I've been so impressed with the selection of frames, service and knowledge of Dr. Wong. Used to try to save a few $$ on frames but now I love wearing my stylish glasses. Have also had great help from his staff in picking sunglasses for my face shape. Highly recommend! more

Five Stars+ Entire family has been going to Dr Wong for 7 years. He is great with kids (has two of his own) and never hurries us through. He is very personable and obviously enjoys his job (or puts on a great show). His office is somewhat of a drive for us but we continue to go as I trust him. He does not push products which is nice. His staff is great--helpful, cheerful and all that! more

Dr. Wong was very friendly and did a very thorough examination of my eyes. He discovered that my prescription (prescribed by a different optometrist) was too strong and causing my migraines. He was right - I haven't had a migraine since he adjusted my prescription. I would highly recommend Overlake Eye Designs! more

I've been a patient of Dr. Wong's for about six years, and though my husband has visited other eye care specialists (purely for convenience of location- his new location has some shortcomings...) I wouldn't think of going elsewhere. The exams are thorough, the staff is friendly, efficient and competent, and the selection of frames is always, ALWAYS, edgy and spectacular. After my mediocre experience with another optometrist last year, I decided to give Dr. Wong a try given the excellent reviews posted here. I was not disappointed. Having worn contacts for ten years, I'm pretty used to the annual routine of visiting the optometrist. However, Dr. Wong's office performed additional tests that I had never experienced - including a peripheral vision test and taking a photo of the inside of my eyes. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. That was a big change from other eye docs that I've visited. Like another reviewer mentioned, he's very familiar with newer silicone hydrogel contact lenses (such as the Acuvue Oasys, Ciba Night & Day, etc) and they seem to be his first choice for his patients. I don't blame him - the Oasys contacts that I was switched to are excellent for me given my computer usage. The only thing that surprised me was the lack of a fluorescein test to check for corneal abrasions, which is usually a standard test for contact lens wearers. Like I said though, the exam was so thorough that I didn't feel concerned about this. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Wong. more

From the first time I went to Dr. Tony Wong I was super impressed. The staff is super patient. I must have been there for 1 hour looking and asking questions about different types of frames. Dr. Wong is also super cool, he takes the time to explain any of your questions, and you never feel rushed. He might ask you what is your daily routine so he can understand what are the situations where your eyes are at most stress. He also suggest 1 minute exercises to do twice a day to help you relax your eye muscles. Also their prices are great. I've gone back to buy sunglasses there since they are so affordable. Also he can email you the picture of the inside of your eye if you ask him. I put it as my desktop at work and people where super curious what it was. more

Dr. Wong is very friendly and knowledgeable and really listened to my concerns. His office staff is warm and welcoming and very professional. They really take time to help you (unlike CostCo!). They have a great selection of frames that are suprisingly affordable, but very chic. The staff will advise you on what frames are best to flatter certain features and what materials are best for you needs. Overall, I am completely pleased w/ our experience at this office, and highly recommend Dr. Wong. more

After scouring the Internet for optometrist recommendations, I finally settled on Dr. Wong. I, too, am a first-time contact wearer and after reading Lisa P.'s review, I was very comfortable with choosing Dr. Wong. He was extremely friendly and utterly thorough in his explanations of what he thought was going on with my eyes, the health of my eye, and how contacts would affect my vision. His staff is also great to work with, though our only interaction was checking in and ordering my contacts (they helped me maximize my vision benefits). I would highly recommend Dr. Wong! more

I found Dr. Wong through this site, and he is terrific! He was very patient, explained everything, answered all my questions and didn't hurry anything. I got to try a "mono-lens" contact for a week +, and then another prescription just to get the perfect fit and one I was comfortable wearing. I don't even notice it's there! I was very pleased that my visit with Dr. Wong was very thorough. He went through all the tests with me, including the one that blows a puff of air in your eye. Only this really was a small “puff” as they say. In all my years of going to the eye doctor this was the first machine that didn’t blast a puff of air to my eyeball. Dr. Wong’s machine was quite pleasant actually. He also made sure to tell me exactly how much my eye’s have changed and what that meant. I was most impressed with his knowledge of contact brands and the new types of contacts on the market. When I told him that I was happy with the contacts I have now and that they seemed to get the job done he let me know that there was a new type of contact available that would actually let more oxygen pass through to my eyes. He even ordered a trial pair for me to try out to see if I could tell a difference. Dr. Wong is a great doctor and I know I can trust him to take care of my eyes! more

I've tried twice before at various places to get contacts, but I've never found a pair that have fit my eye very well I mentioned this to Dr. Tony Wong at Overlake Eye Designs, and he made it his mission to get me into a pair of well-fitting contacts. We tried over 10 different contacts to find a set that work for me. He charges only once, so all the return visits (at least 5) and all the trial pairs were included, and he was extremely patient and kind. I can't imagine going anywhere else, this guy is great. more

I love visiting Dr. Tony Wong's office. I get a thorough eye exam from people who are friendly, helpful, and capable. I can be honest about my less-than-perfect eye care routine at home because the doctor doesn't berate me for it. Instead, we acknowledge what I am doing and he suggests steps to improvement instead of expecting full repentance and a complete overnight turnaround. I have actually gotten more mindful of my eyes as a result. I like that Dr. Wong is understanding, but also effective with me. I asked questions about everything, soliciting medical answers about eye health, why this test or that, to personal opinions about how eyeglass frames looked on me. I was extremely satisfied with all the responses I got. I spent two hours in their office and Dr. Wong and Tamara were both attentive to my needs the whole time. As a nice bonus on top of it all, they have an excellent selection of modern and trendy eyeglass frames. I've never found so many suitable glasses in one place before. more
