We were looking for a cost effective way to replace an ugly 25 year old cedar deck, plus fix drainage problems next to our house. Alan Burke of Classic Nursery came out for a complementary consultation and after listening to my ideas and concerns, told me his vision of my small backyard. Massive stone steps, two paver patios, flagstone walkways, new shrubs and a stone water feature....OMG I can't afford this guy!
Then he gave me his proposed bid...Wow he managed to do all that within our modest budget. The installation, led by Tony, was fast and expertly completed. The shrubs were better looking than the ones I saw at other nurserys, too. I can't rave enough!

Purchased new home in need of a small back yard. Needed to remove ugly existing concrete patio, install a paver patio, and install plants. Also wanted a small water feature and a sprinkler system for both the new back yard and the existing front yard area
I first met with Guy Feldman from Classic Nursery at my home for an initial consultation. Guy did a great job of listening and paying attention to what I had envisioned. After looking over the area and listening to my vision, he spent about 15min and drew up an intial sketch of the project incorporating my ideas and some of his own. Most of the other compaines wanted around $1k to do the design, which I thought was outrageous since my yard is approx 500sq feet. Classic did not charge for this service and Guy did an excellent job coming up with the plan. From there, Guy took a couple of days to come up with a bid for the plan we had come up with. The bid was not the lowest, but was right at my budget and included all the extra features that I wanted...like my small water feature. Juan and Carlos did most of the work. They were here every day and did an excellent job. I saw progress each day and I never got a complaint from any of my neighbors regarding noise, parking, or the work being done. They did an excellent job keeping the work sight clean and neat. My project took about 3 weeks to complete...mostly because of the work being done around the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. In the end, Guy gave me a comprehensive walk through of the project and all the work that had been done. There was a small overage due to the conceate removal being thicker than anticipated, but I was aware of it. Overall, the project is beautiful and I cannot wait for nicer, warmer weather to start enjoying my new patio/back yard space.

Being long time customers of their nursery, we hired Classic for a landscaping project.
We couldn't be more pleased.
Recently retired and avid gardeners, we wanted a larger patio area to enjoy our plantings and entertain guests. Ours is a contemporary home on an acre lot in a wooded setting, and we wanted something that would complement our surroundings.
At our initial meeting with owner Alan Burke he quickly saw the potential for our site. Working within our projected budget he built on our "general idea" to a more detailed design that included features we hadn't considered. The final plan comprised a beautiful patio using earth-toned pavers in unique patterns, a small bordering wall of "dry-stacked" slate rock, a large wooden arbor over the seating area, a waterfall feature, plantings from their nursery, and lighting. Topping it off was a flagstone path meandering to a garden area.
The entire project went very smoothly. Classic's workers were like craftsmen, with great attention to detail. Reflecting Alan's hands-on professional approach, glitches were resolved promptly, and creative agreed-upon special touches added or substituted as work progressed--all within budget and on schedule.
As we continue to enjoy our new outdoor area, we get the occasional "Who did you use?" question. We're not at all hesitant to recommend the people at Classic.

Plant quality is good and price is ok.
They also have a walking trail (into the woods and along a creek) at the back of the nursery in case you want a break from hectic shopping :-)

The Seattle area has some great nurseries, but Classic is my favorite and has been for about seven years now.
The staff is extremely friendly and they remember you. Last year, they'd run out of grape bushes by the time we made it out there. This year, they called to let us know when the grapes had arrived -- and they held two for us.
They landscaped our Seattle garden two years ago, and we get raves from our guests on how inviting it is, and how well designed the plants are. They're also eco-friendly, and knowledgeable about ways to have a beautiful garden that is hospitable for birds, but not damaging to the environment.
