The staff at The Stone House is family. We are either the brother, sister, mom, dad, cousin or friend of the owner. We work there, not for the money, but to support him. As one of the sisters, I take all reviews very seriously, but especially this one. We try very hard to make sure that each person that comes to this restaurant has the best experience possible. We are human though and make mistakes. We might forget something, we might bring you the wrong item, but we will try to fix it in any way that we can so that you are happy when you leave. We, and I speak for my family who are all very upset by this, would never intentionally change a tip. We are not there for the money. If we get a bad tip, we feel bad that someone had a bad experience and did not let us know so we could fix it. I would hope this person would call the restaurant so we could fix this.

Now that Spril/Summer is here, we think the Stonehouse has the prettiest and most romantic outdoor dining in the Seattle area. Inventive, delicious menu and the food presentation is superb.

I have been there the past three days in a row and just love it! Twice for lunch, once for happy hour, and I can't wait to go there for dinner. I haven't tried a whole lot on the menu YET, but so far I love: Tuna Melt, Prosciuto, goat cheese & wild mushroom panini, baked brie appetizer, pork slider....everything is delicious!!! Nice atmosphere, friendly service, great food & wine.

The Stone House is a 1914 House that has beautiful tree surroundings and a relaxing interior. The new owner have added a bar and repainted. The menu has unique small plate ($3-$10) and large plate $10-$20) using local fresh products. The flavors are amazing. We were told that the menu will change regularly based on availability of fresh products. Smoked Chicken wings are a must. Good service and atmosphere. Full bar, but this is not a night sceen...good place for a date or to meet with friends.

We had a late start this morning, and when we looked at the clock, it was close to 1:00pm! My daughter (8)and I didn't eat breakfast yet, and it was lunch time! THIS is what happens when you have a 7.5 hour movie marathon the night before! They shouldn't be allowed to make trilogies! O.K., getting back to the Stone House Cafe -- we finally decided to go there and check it out. We loved the fact that it was still the same house (I grew up here and have seen that house for years!), and it had a very familiar feeling to it. Nice interior decor, jazzy music, with some blues mixed in, and not very crowded at 1:00pm on Sunday. I ordered the #1 roast beef sandwich -- the marinated onions played off nicely with the rare roast beef and rye bread. My daughter ordered a tuna salad sandwich on an onion roll with garlic aioli and havarti cheese -- toasted, of course! She scarfed down half her sandwich, which is a lot for her, and proceeded to order the chocolate paradise sundae -- an incredible concoction of chocolate ice cream (2 scoops) in the center of the large plate, surrounded by huge chunks of brownies which were covered in a layer of whipped cream, with the whole thing drizzled with a chocolate syrup and fudge sauce AND topped off with chocolate shavings. My daughter didn't want the crunched Heath bars that normally goes on top as well. After watching her devour most of the dessert (the elderly couple sitting next to us were amazed at how much my little one could eat!) I was allowed to try some. It was not overly sweet, and if you're a chocolate lover, this was a very nice way to finish a nice, leisurely lunch in a great atmosphere. On the way out we got some salt water taffy and candy buttons from the little candy counter that they have as well. It's such a nice change of pace compared to the now abundant chain restaurants and eateries that permeate this once quiet rural town. I hope that our locals support places like this to keep them around for a VERY long time. There's 17 more sandwiches, a seemingly infinite combination of sandwiches that they'll make for you, soups and desserts that I still have to try. You didn't think that I got the #1 sandwich just because I wanted roast beef today did you?!!

My family and I had dinner at The Stone House Cafe yesterday and it was GREAT! They have huge sandwiches, great soups and salads, and a hot fudge sundae that takes me back to when I was a kid. My son had a chocolate shake that was out of this world. Our server was warm and attentive. The restaurant is homey and very comfortable. They even have a candy and toy counter. I actually bought an original Slinky!
