Sunset Marketplace is a great place to pick-up your last minute appetizers or finishing touches to your meal. You can pick up fresh sushi, made by Mermaid sushi. I normally do not like store-bought sushi, but it's not bad at all. The bakery section is very tempting! You can buy attractive and delcious cakes and other pastries. The smoked tri-tip hot off the grill is a special treat as well, especially when paired with prepared deli items or fresh baked bread. I've been pleased with the service there. The cashiers are always friendly and offer to take my groceries to the car.

You will enjoy the wide selection of deli items and the lunch sandwich is the best over the counter for the price anywhere in town. The bakery has a wide variety of fresh daily desserts as well as the more standard faire and try the coffee bar with sample sized cups available, a welcome addition.

Sunset Marketplace is your premier gormet grocery store in Redding California. With a full service bakery, your dream wedding cake can come true. A full service deli, makes everything fresh to order, and the new coffee bar wakes you up whenever you need it. They now have fresh suchi made daily on site by Mermaid Suchi. Mermaid Suchi is the best in the northstate, give it a try! My favorite is the fish egg suchi, YUMMY!
