I have been a loyal customer of Sunset's for the past 5 years. One of the biggest reasons for that is the sushi bar. It's hands down the best sushi franchise in town. Flies in Redding? No way!!!! I have never had a quality problem, and it will continue to be my first stop for sushi.

As for the last review, it was completely wrong. Sunset Market's bakery is the best around as has been winning awards for their items for years. Lynn is a great cake decorator and if you think different then you should come and look at her work, that is why she has been there so long. Kristin is just mad because she got fired for ripping the store off, and the fact that she lost a great job.

A word of caution to those who think that they are getting the best by paying more: You are not. The most talented cake decorator they ever employed to my knowledge is no longer there. Lynne, the mainstay decorator, who in fifteen years of experience on the job could not draw a close second to Kristin, is. She can do roses... and that;s where it ends. So, if you are looking for someone who can freehand just about anything, who will draw on whipped cream cakes, or make a cake in any shape you desire... Sunset is no longer the place. Ask around; people can direct you to the place that Kristin works now. Lynn couldn't draw her way out of a paper bag... and she loves to turn down anything challenging. As for the Subset deli... they have a great variety, and I am always pleased.

They are a bit more pricier than other stores, but carry a variety of specialty and gourmet foods. They sell freshly grilled meats daily. They provide good service and always offer to help you out with the groceries.
