I you haven't gone to LaPalomar then your missing out on the true taste of mexico. From the homade sopapilla with the flavorful chili verde pork or the wonderful beef slow cooked in a mole sauce, you cannot go wrong. The Luera family have been bringing the best mexican food to Redding for many years. The place is very small and on the weekends can be a wait but it is well worth it. The staff is friendly and can tell you anything you need to know about the food. Don't miss out !!!!!!!!

Far and away the best restaurant in redding, if you like original food. Great daily specials and decent pricing. My personal favorite is the Ragin' cajun pasta.
Pros: Original Menu, decent wine list, great bar for apps and drinks.
Cons: Heavy traffic at location, can be hard to get in and out of parking lot

We asked an elderly woman at the gas station where to go for breakfast and she said she ONLY goes to Country Waffles. We could see why - amazing selection of breakfasts (they'll substitute just about anything, too), with waffles, omelettes, skillets, eggs any way you'd like, waffles of all sorts, fruit, crepes, you-name-it! Not too much of a greasy-spoon, but also not "light" (unless you get fruit + oatmeal?). Prompt service - when we sat down, we asked for a "short order of buiscuits" - thinking she'd bring us 1-2 biscuits - and instead we got 2 biscuits soaked in sausage gravy - totally delicious, even though not our original intent. Would definitely go back.
Pros: Fast service, huge selection
Cons: Gotta be very specific with your order, antiquated decor

While growing around Redding, we were always looking for a good place to eat. I lived in the Redding area for 13 years, so we got comfortable with the restaurants we found, and this was one of them. This location has the best hamburger, good fries, and a hometown feel. The hamburgers are giant, and really taste fantastic. Each time I return to Redding, I must go to have a hamburger with my family. This is one of the best places all around!

This restaurant is not only family oriented but it also thrives with college students. The food is sweet and savory as well as spicy and soft. They have the best customer service as well as delicious food. The menu has affordable items as well as the more expensive but believe me you won't go broke. Every body needs to try it because you will love it and I don't want anybody missing out on the great food La Cabana has to offer. The children enjoy it as well especially for those kids who are picky. You can chose your meal and ask to have something removed or even added with out any buts. So if you want real Mexican cuisine you need to drop by you will become addicted in a good way. Yay!! Maybe i'll even see you there you never know. Just remember don't be shy try things out.
Pros: Food is tasteful and exquisite and service is great!
Cons: Can get very busy so get there as fast as possible!
