You know, I read these reviews of people with their attitudes towards restaurants and there are completely removed from a good dining experience and a bad one that they have no idea what they are talking about. The owner of Buona Sera is a wonderful caring person. For some reason people think he's someone who thinks who he is and that is the farthest thing from the truth. I'm not rich but when I go in there I'm treated like royalty. Everyone there is so warm and courteous, maybe if you had a bad experience, it's because you're a total ****. The accomodations there are above and beyond. For appetizers order the broccolli rabe with garlic and try the mussels, they're exceptional. It's a great place to go for lunch as well. Also, try the sausage or calamari arrabiata, it's out of this world. Oh and by the way, exceptional wine selection. Great job Chris!
Pros: Five star service ambience and personal attention
Cons: Parking, very limited

If you travel to Italy and get hooked on good espresso, then your only fix in Red Bank is No Ordinary Joe's cafe. There is a Starbucks in town but their espresso is just not up to par with Joe's.

The Bistro leaves no customer unsatisfied. It's diverse menu is a pleasure for all ethnicities, specifically its fabulous sushi bar. The chefs here know their stuff, and fill you up with their gormet salads, brick oven pizza, seafood, pasta, and steaks! NJ monthly, the Star Ledger, and Zagat have all critically hailed the Bistro, and for good reason. The ambiance is eclectic at its worst, and the service is fantastic, even when the crowds are thick with hunger.

Let me explain that I was surprised by some posters. This place is a great place where you can smoke cigars or cigarettes. It is not a dirty filthy place and is quite nice. I especially like the upstairs club area and it has a great bar and great bartenders who know how to make a great drink. Their wine selection is also good; they have a loyal clientele and I have to think that one of the posters must work at Reds because I have been to both and Ashes is far superior for what it is. Reds attracted a very young, abrasive crowd and upstairs you could not even walk from one place to another because of overcrowding. I felt that the drinks at Reds and the staff were very overrated and my group could not wait to get out of the place. We went down the street to Ashes and the clientele was of a much higher class with a more adult outlook. In fact, my sister and I also had a wonderful dinner one night at Ashes and we were not disappointed. BTW: I do not smoke and the upstairs area did not bother me one bit. I cannot understand the hostility of some of the posters and simply wanted to present another view.

Juanito's is the closest to Mexico one can enjoy in central NJ. If your only experience with Mexican Food is Taco Bell's bean burritos, then you need to visit this place. If you've been to Mexico, and you KNOW what real mexican food is like, then you'll love this place. The atmosphere is delightful, and the sauces are hot and plentiful. I am particularly fond of their burrito combination platters, where you can enjoy a little bit of everything. Juanito's is a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner, though it does get crowded on the weekends, so be prepared to wait a bit.

The restaurant technically is a part of the hotel, but I know so many people who come here just as a place to eat for lunch/dinner that they consider it a separate entity from the rest of the building. It's all fine dining - the food comes in small quantities, but its taste is very rich. I wouldn't come here all the time, as it is a bit on the expensive side, but it's definitely a worthwhile experience.

Torcello, a family run business, lead by Mike and Zoya Bitci is outstanding. Mike has over 30 years of restaurant experience and operated one a very famous restaurant in New York City; The Grand Ticino where Moonstruck was filmed.
Torcello is one of the finest BYOB Italian Restaurants in Monmouth County. Torcello is warm, welcoming and family friendly. Service is outstanding and portions are perfectly sized. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Italian cuisine in Red Bank.
