If you travel to Italy and get hooked on good espresso, then your only fix in Red Bank is No Ordinary Joe's cafe. There is a Starbucks in town but their espresso is just not up to par with Joe's.

Actually, NOJ's is much more than a coffeeshop, they offer nice lunches and soup, but the draw is the coffee which is very good and available in many blends and flavors. The staff is pretty friendly, especially the short dark haired lady who always has a smile and a kind word. Red Bank tries to have a reputation as "hip town" but NOJ's is one of the few places that live up to it.

While there's a certain ease and familiarity to popping into a starbucks for an overpriced and unimpressive beverage, I'd much rather cross the street to the almost parallel No Joe's, which has an eclectic air about it and a much higher quality of food and desserts to boot. Especially good are their lunchtime offerings- delicious soups and sandwiches to pair with whatever tasty drink you're ordering. There's artwork on the walls and in good weather some outdoor seating- great for people watching on the usually busy sidewalks of town.
