First I must say that I miss my little Jordans in Waltham, where we used to stop by for free cookies and popcorn and stuff (I did buy my living room there). However, the big Jordans in Reading is fun. At Christmas time the Imax theater was totally sold out, but it was fun to look at all the stuff in the lobby. The audio section is a ton of fun. The place is so huge it's like a museum of furniture. It's lots of fun to wander around, and since it's so big nobody bothers you. The commercials are true that the sleep center people seem to know what they're talking about and will give you a lot of assistance in selecting a bed. I don't know of any other furniture stores where you can see a movie, eat a meal, and shop for furniture. I just wish it was closer.

this video place has a lot of selections, of course, you can't compare it with Blockbusters. They rent VHS, VCD's, DVD's and others. The only drawback is that they are very local, and it's not too too convenient to go to them, or someone would rather go to blockbusters for a greater selection of movies to watch.

Love the chicken soup, and everything else. I work daily in Reading and love it when Green Tomato is open. (M-F) they cook turkey daily, and have specials. Mostly two people can eat from one meal. My dad is also a Green Tomato lover and eats twice from each portion. Excellent value.

I love this place! It's hands down, the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is delicious and fresh, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. And now they have sushi! The service is ok, people are nice.
Also, they have a nice sitting bar too w/ a TV but i usually go with my family so we sit in a booth. And they have pretty nice function rooms, plenty of parking (street and lot), and a good website... go to ecreading dot com.
I just saw in the paper that they won the "Best Of" award again...12 years now, I think? Go, you won't regret it!
Pros: Great food, warm ambience, easy parking, personable staff, chinese and japanese options
Cons: Service is good but can be a little inconsistent sometimes

They have a large green house with a hugh assortment of indoor and outdoor plants. A very nice gift shop of garden trinkets. They even carry Vera Bradley bags. The shop can be very busy on the weekends, but they usually have a traffic officer helping you get into the parking lot. The plants are very healthy and look great.

Dandi Lyons is an excellent place for flowers. They also sell ice cream during the summer and Christmas trees during the holidays. On all three items, they are one of the least expensive options. Their flowers are just as beautiful as a florist and very affordable. ($7 for a dozen roses most of the time). The ice cream is also cheap and the Christmas Trees are the best prices around.

Adam M you are wrong. First off the pizza is the best in town even with its prices. I can also name at least 20 other places to get great food in Reading, MA. You should try Gregory's pizza and sub. You might have to wait 2 hours for a slice of cheese but its worth it.

I live in the next town over and I love to come here for breakfast or lunch. They have delicious homemade food and lots of choices. There are always daily specials, too, and they tend to get creative with them (ex. waffles with caramel, pecans, and banana, or pancakes with tropical fruit). I go at least a couple of times a month. I am especially pleased because they have slow-cook oatmeal (not the instant one!) and their bacon is crisp to perfection! Everthing that comes out is always fresh and hot. At lunch, they have an appealing menu, and have especially good soups and sandwiches. Their prices are affordable. Usually I sit right down, but the weekends can get a little busy, though it's worth the wait and it's never too long. My grandmother and mother also love this restaurant. The service has always been friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Christopher's.
