After reading online reviews and hearing recommendations from friends, I went to Showcase Cinemas in Randolph, MA to see WALL-E, my own most anticipated movie of the summer. The theater was crowded, but it was clean and large enough to accommodate the number of people present.
I got to the theater 20 minutes early so I could find a good seat. I ended up waiting a long time, because the movie didn't start until *40 MINUTES* after the scheduled showtime. In addition, the animated short 'Presto' which precedes the feature film was not shown, and the opening sequence of WALL-E was cut off. It took me 10 minutes to track down a manager and the staff was rude when I complained. I got a re-admittance pass but they refused to refund my money.
I've been to smaller theaters, older theaters, and theaters that were not as clean, but I've NEVER been to a theater and had an experience like this. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This is a large cinema complex. It is easy to get to. Right off the exit from Route 24. If the movie you want to see is sold out there are many more to chose from. I think they run between 12 - 16 different movies. Very large complex. You can have birthday parties here. They will section off a group of seats. Then you can chose between what plans you want. I think the most common is a drink and popcorn for the kids.

When the parking lot overfills, you have to park across the street making it a bit of a walk but it is well worth it.
They have many levels of concession stands and their prices are very reasonable. You can get everything from popcorn, candy, fried dough, pizza and ice cream.
We drive 30 miles just to go there.

This is a huge movie complex with something like 14 screens showing first-run movies. The best part of this theatre is the stadium seating that enables everyone to comfortably watch the show. Cup-holders also make for a more pleasant movie-going experience. It's also conveniently located right near Route 24. Also, doesn't draw a huge teen crowd.
The main drawback is the lack of parking on-site. To cover overflow, they have a couple of satellite lots with shuttle service.

This is a great place to meet other moms or just get out of the house and enjoy an adult movie instead of Barney or Dora. They hold Baby Pictures every other Tuesday at 10a. And at 9:30a Gymboree comes over to host a free playgroup. Movies are $5.50 per adult and children under a year are free. There are changing pads and a concession stand inside the theater so you don't have to miss a second of the movie, except when you're young one decides to run away as you're changing his diaper.
