Warlocks is the best shop in the Triangle. Definately not your typical flash shop. Not only do they have excellent tattoo artists & piercers they are friendly & clean. Never have had a poor experience. I love that they are open 7 days a week for piercings & tattoos! I have had 9 large tattoos there & many piercings. I have no doubt that they will keep up the good work.
Pros: Cleanliness...friendly staff...lots of flash & knowledgeable
Cons: none

My office has their Christmas party here every year. We usually have random appetizers and an open bar. The food is always unique and delicious! This past Christmas, we had duck confit and tuna tartar in what looks like a little ice cream cone. The prosciutto wrapped shrimp ($11 appetizer...JUMBO shrimp) is also a great choice! The chocolate martinis are done very well!
Daryl and I decided to eat dinner here after going the mall tonight. I had a $25 off coupon, so I figured what the heck! Daryl had the shrimp and grits (of course) - $15. He said it was good and he liked the big pieces of andouille sausage. I ordered the Grilled Veggie Plate with Fresh Fish (Grouper) - $25. The grilled veggies were awesome! It was an entire plate filled with eggplant, zucchini, squash, red, green, and yellow peppers, red onion, and tomato with balsamic drizzled on it and chunks of goat cheese. The Grouper was placed on top. The fish could use a little sprucing up with some sort of seasoning. Or maybe I should've gotten it with the salmon, but the vegetables were really good!
Their complimentary bread is like a thinly sliced toast and served with hummus. My favorite!
We decided to share a dessert...the Chocolate Bomb ($7). It was a round dessert with an Oreo Crust Bottom, a layer of chocolate mousse, a layer of peanut butter mousse, and chocolate ganache on the outside. It was the bomb diggity!! It was like a really large peanut butter cup with oreos smashed into the bottom. I would go back again and again just for their signature dessert!
The wait staff was excellent! The owner even came over to check on us to see how we were doing. It was a good dinner!
Pros: great staff, good food, awesome desserts!
Cons: somewhat pricey, tables too close together

Imperial Garden is truly amazing for Chinese food in Raleigh. The atmosphere is low-key, but the food is authentic and very good. This is the best Chinese food by far that I have experienced in Raleigh. The shopping center tucked behind trees on Lead Mine Road is easy to miss, but once you find the restaurant, you are sure to find a crowd. The service is also very good and pleasant. I have really enjoyed everything I have eaten here. The food is fresh, not greasy, and feels very healthy.

My best friend recently got married. I served as her maid of honor and accompanied her on all appointments and shopping excursions. She bought her dress from Bridal Boutique of Raleigh and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience.
Even though the dress she bought was a store-sample they were clearing out, they never treated her as a second-class customer. Beware that there are extra fees (which they offer to turn into a package, which we took) for fittings, but this seems to be the norm for bridal shops. They were happy to adjust and tweak alterations until she was very pleased with the results, and all of the work was just *beautiful*. The staff was very helpful with picking out accessories that would go well with the dress and supportive of whatever the bride decided (even when it meant that she would not be purchasing some pieces from them). Everything was ready when promised.
For another friend's wedding, two of the bridesmaids realized Thursday night before a Saturday wedding that their dresses needed to be re-altered. The staff was willing to rush the necessary alterations and arrange for a pickup by another person. The new alterations were ready when promised and still excellent work under the rushed schedule.
If I ever marry while living in this area, I will certainly use this boutique. Even though discount stores and outlets may be cheaper, every bride I know who has used this shop has been pleased with the great level of customer service.

My friends and I recently went to the Red Room. The restaurant/bar is a very cool lounge and nightspot whose Spanish twist brings a posh, yet eclectic feel to it. It was nice out, so we sit on the side patio that is right alongside Glenwood Avenue and shared some good wine and delicious tapas. It?s the perfect place to hang out and have a light meal/snack and a couple of drinks, and be a part of a different environment than your typical college bar scene. The servers were very friendly and helpful when it comes to suggesting food and drinks, as not everyone is familiar with the concept of tapas. Oh, and the sangria is amazing!
Pros: Sangria, patio, great tapas
