My friends and I recently went to the Red Room. The restaurant/bar is a very cool lounge and nightspot whose Spanish twist brings a posh, yet eclectic feel to it. It was nice out, so we sit on the side patio that is right alongside Glenwood Avenue and shared some good wine and delicious tapas. It?s the perfect place to hang out and have a light meal/snack and a couple of drinks, and be a part of a different environment than your typical college bar scene. The servers were very friendly and helpful when it comes to suggesting food and drinks, as not everyone is familiar with the concept of tapas. Oh, and the sangria is amazing!
Pros: Sangria, patio, great tapas

I have been shopping for a bridal gown for A YEAR.... no joke. I wish I had stumbled in to Bridal Boutique of Raleigh first. It would have saved me a lot of trouble and time.
First of all, it is very upscale, nice selection, great designers like Maggie Soterro and Demetrios, etc. Beautiful gowns.
Secondly, I was SO impressed with the service. The two girls who worked there looked young, so I was bit skeptical st first, but they ended up being so wonderful and patient that I wanted to invite both of them to my wedding.
I found the most beautiful dress, and I was so happy with the boutique. It was the perfect blend of classy and friendly. Unbelievable!
I would recommend my very best friends to come here first. Thank you so much, Bridal Boutique of Raleigh!
Pros: Wonderful service, good prices, friendly, awesome staff
Cons: um, none

This is a great place to eat & hang out. The food is delicious & has some of the best drink specials in Raleigh. I've read some of these reviews & can agree that service is not always the best & the manager they did hire did mess things up. But I know for a fact there are people who work there since the good days and are all about saving the place.
*The management is back to the way it was
*it is a family owned business!!
*its fresh homemade food
*yes changes did have to be made, cause the place did go thru bankruptcy, so we did have to change from the large pour, & free Blue Cheese with everything
I guess I just dont see how people can have 1 lil complaint & swear off the place, maybe read into whats really going on there, maybe ask the people there, instead of reading some random complaint from someone who probably never even worked in a restaurant.
The place is still great and full of good times, don't believe me come in & check it out, and check it out again if ya are one of these people who has to swear the place off, maybe you were to hasty and did come across that one bad apple.
Pros: Great food & atmosphere w/ great prices
Cons: bad apple here & there

Service, atmosphere, food quality, food presentation, and service all A+. They use the highest quality ingredients and spare nothing in preparation. They also have a great selection of the less common tane, such as sea urchin. When sitting at the sushi bar the expertise is obvious. The chefs are very friendly, which makes for a great experience. We live an hour outside Raleigh and we will travel there just to dine at Sono.
Of the 300 or so Sushi bars that I have dined at in this hemisphere over the last 20 years, Sono is memorable. For a fusion style restaurant, it does not get any better than this.
Try the Sono roll or any of the seared rolls as a starter.
Pros: Fantastic fusion menu
Cons: None

(Brazilian and Cuban w/ some Italian thrown in for good measure) - There might be some issues with the size of the place, even though the owners have recently made renovations, that doesn't stop Oakwood from being one of the best kept secrets in Downtown. The food is absolutely addictive. I started going there on the advice of BlackytheLawyer who knows his food and I must eat there no less than three times a month. I think they must put "coca" in the charrisco steak, its that good.
Plus the wait staff consists of the owners' drop-dead gorgeous daughters, they could not be more attentive, helpful and again, straight up hot.
Go for lunch, if you can get a seat. I promise you, you'll be back two, three times later that month. -Whitey

We have eaten at Nelson's quite a few times - only at the raw bar, never in the dining room - and we've always had a great experience. The guys working at the raw bar are super friendly, talkative and offered numerous suggestions on both food and drinks. I've always been impressed with their attentiveness as well. I can see it being a little on the pricey side - but so are most good restaurants nowadays. And the comment that was made about having to wait for your reservation - that just happens and shouldn't be a reflection of the restaurant! Restaurants use estimates as to how long an average table sits, and sometimes, the patrons stay longer than anticipated (more wine, more coffee, more talking). I'm sure you wouldn't want to be asked to leave/hurry up because another party was waiting for your table!
It's a great place and I think you should check it out!
Pros: Cool atmosphere, good oysters and wine, friendly bartenders

More
The North Carolina State University theme of this restaurants establishment is visible within the first steps of entering the building. Autographed pictures of football players, famous singers, and NCSU paraphernalia is everywhere you look and the calming atmosphere is wonderful. But the food is even better. They have a wide variety of Italian entrées, desserts, pizzas, and more. The pizza is delicious. The crust is just right, and the service is quick. They also make their own blue cheese dressing, and they sell their sauce by the jar at the cash register. The whole dining experience is great at Amedeos.

My car is HAPPY now! Pinnacle Automotive is top-notch! I have always dreaded taking my car in for service because? well?I don?t have a lot of trust for mechanics/the auto industry- I think part of it is made up in my head (they just want to take advantage of me) and part of it is warranted (they HAVE taken advantage of me). However, this DOESN?T apply to Pinnacle. From my first phone call [filled with questions], to the time that they handed my keys back over to me after fixing my baby (car) up, the experience was positive. Now, I?m not saying that WHAT they told me was positive (I had a bunch of broken and cracked tubes of some sort in my engine), but the respectful and empathetic manner in which they [Mark] shared the news was a welcome change from what I?ve experienced before. I have to say, I really DO like my dealership- they are really nice too, but Pinnacle did the same work for half the price. Thanks, Pinnacle Automotive, for making my car AND I HAPPY! ?
Pros: great service, great price
