When we went on our honeymoon cruise, we used this company. They were great! Not only did we get information on a new ship that was due to launch at the same time as our honeymoon, we were able to get in on a great deal as well. Our agent took care of booking our flight and our cruise to save us time and money. We did an anniversay cruise recently and tried to do the booking on our own and made a real mess of things. Never again. We will go back to Cruise Holidays next time! Don't make the same mistake we did- go to this agency and let them take care of you and your cruise!!

The Holiday Inn Brownstone is a fairly nice Holiday Inn (it was only recently bought by Holdiay Inn). It's primary perk is its very close location to North Carolina State University. The service is friendly and reasonable. When I stayed there, the lights did flicker some - but I had the "experience" of staying there at the same time as participants in the Junior Miss North Carolina pagent, and it was probably the hair dryers mucking with the electricity at 7:30 AM. Great place to stay, but I'd call and ask if was also booked for any events (like the Junior Miss NC Pagent) just to make your stay more pleasant.

If you are looking for highly competent and friendly movers, then give these guys a call. We recently moved from Raleigh to Apex and used All The Right Moves as our moving company. They were great! Very friendly and hard working. Prior to the move, they came out and gave us an estimate. It was a good price and they had great references, so we went with them. We are definitely very happy we chose them, as they made the moving process as painless as possible.

These are my opinions as a regular rider, living in Raleigh without a car.
The bad:
-Most CAT bus routes operate at low frequencies, leaving riders with waiting times of up to an hour.
-A late bus is not uncommon. My guess would be maybe 1 in 4 or 5 busses is over 5 minutes behind schedule. Sometimes this is due to poor schedule planning, sometimes this is due to mechanical problems, and often it is simply due to undisciplined drivers who seem not to care.
-The bus routes often travel in circles, or deviate from the main roads. Because the routes are not very direct, they waste a lot of time. For example to go outside the beltline on New Bern Avenue from Downtown you need to switch busses at Wake Medical, despite this being a major street and a distance of under five miles.
-At evenings and Sundays many bus routes are combined meaning riders have to sit through big loops, and much of the city isn't covered at these times. Also, on evenings and Sundays all routes are scheduled to leave the bus terminal on the hour, and complete there route within an hour. This often results in late busses, and waiting an extra hour downtown due to a missed connection.
However, there are some good aspects to CAT:
-If you are fortunate enough to be in an area with multiple bus routes not to far from downtown (Downtown, NCSU, Crabtree Valley mall, etc.) the service is more than decent.
-The busses do cover most of Raleigh, with the exception to the Leesville area and some of the area outside of I-540.
-The fare is reasonable. Many even ride for free (State Govt. Employees, City Employees, Wake County Employees, NCSU students, and a few others).
-The city and CAT management have made some major improvements in the past few years, and seem dedicated to improve service, they just need a substantial investment in additional vehicles and increased budget.
-Most drivers and riders are friendly.

Haywood Hall has played host to a wedding I went to recently and it blew my mind that such an amazing house could go unnoticed in downtown Raleigh. The gardens have plenty of pathways so that the grass stays lush and green. There is a gazebo, where this wedding was held, that made the wedding feel a little more private although there were over 100 people in attendance. There's a great flow through the house with plenty of space for food, socializing and the like. Outback there is a joggling board that has to be experienced for a full understanding.

They're good if you do a lot of shipping and you set up some agreement with them. They're helpful at the dock, friendly, and down to earth. They ship quickly. The only issue here is price - they're pretty expensive if you don't ship often. On the upside, the people at the office will talk to you as long as it takes and help you to organize the shipment so you get the best price they have to offer.

I wouldn't suggest this motel. I have stayed at several different motels and when it comes down to it this one pales in comparison. The motel and the room that I stayed in had a foul smell that could only be coming from the stained unkempt carpet. The phones, the hair dryer, the iron, the ironing board were all dingy and oily and dirty. The microwave and fridge were kind of clean if you like kind of when it comes to your appliances. The door latch broke off after I attached it. The ice bucket had some sort of crumbs in it. The bathroom was ok except for the stains in the toilet and the dirty hand towels and it wasn't your run of the mill "everyone uses it and we wash it after to get the coffee stain out dirt". It was like the maid didn't want to use a paper towel to clean the mirror and used the hand towels to do so. The service was okay depending on what you wanted. If you wanted a cab they would call it for you. If you wanted to know where the modem was so that you could get a signal to connect to the "free internet access" you can forget it. They had an "oh well too bad what do you expect for the price" attitude that I didn't like at all. Free breakfast is continental which is okay, but sour milk isn't and neither is month old bagels. Stick to the bread and microwave it because the toaster is dust filled and it looked like someone might have tried to put wet food in it. Don't bother with the patio since it is not a nice view and not very relaxing with a pool of water sitting under the chairs and tables. All in all if you just want to watch television and then sleep be their guest, but don't eat there, don't bathe there, don't iron your clothes, leave your laptop at home since you can't use it there, don't expect much help unless you want a cab and most importantly DON'T breathe because it stinks everywhere in that motel.
