We purchased a Sienna in July. 34 days later it was totaled... all 3 children inside... it lived up to its high safety ratings! The staff at Fred Anderson also lived up to thier name... The Family Store. Once the insurance stuff was taken care of, the staff quickly got a new one ordered and made the second buying experience just as smooth as the first! We wouldn't change one minute of our experience... honestly!
Pros: fast and fair
Cons: none to note at this time

Just bought my second vehicle from them.... really regretting it now!
Made several visits before buying. Shortly after the first visit, we started getting phone calls during dinner, from some foreign-country call center... wanting to know how our visit at Fred Anderson was. errrrrrr....It was like talking to Dell Reps in India !!!
Took delivery of the $28k Toyota Venza on a Saturday night... spent most of my Sunday cleaning off some kind of overspray, gunk on the wheels and other missed areas.
I had purchased this for my business, already had a "For Hire" registration which they said they would have transferred. A Week later..... I get a Personal registration tag in mine and my wife's name.....AND NOT the Business as instructed. !!!!!! The troubles are just beginning !
Pros: only one aspect of it ....my Salesman, Gary Hamilton ...
Cons: Absolute bunch of Idiots

How do you give 0 zeros? Run as fast as you can from these crooks. They have mishandled every aspect of my unfortunate new car purchase from them. They actually stole money from me, it took several weeks to get my money back. They screwed up the registration and now 3 weeks later I found they didn't do a state inspection and I have to go back to these incompetent fools to get it done. I would rather get all my registration money back and just go do it myself. Don't buy a car here. They shouldnt be allowed to be in business. The city needs to pull their license or whatever it is they have.
Pros: Absolutely none at all
Cons: incompetent crooks.

The sales people here are pushy and like to waste your time. We wanted to take a second look at the car we were buying and they were already getting the paperwork ready and having us sign it. If you buy a used car, be sure to check it out carefully because once you buy it and come back with a problem that wasn't your fault, the salemen and the manager will come up with all sort of excuses so they won't have to fix your problem. And they will turn around and say that you were a bad buyer and make it your fault that you didn't check out the car before you bought it. stay away from the dealer.. they might sell you something cheap but they don't tell you everything you need to know.
Pros: none
Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BADDD

I purchased my car new at Fred Anderson seven years ago. I continue to service my car at that location. They never bully me into any scheduled maintenance repairs. They give me a recommendation , I ask them how important is that and how often do I really need to get that work done on my particular car. Then I budget the repairs accordingly. Right now my car has over 210,000 miles . I have not had any major repairs needed. I did purchase tires at the service department and found them competitively priced. The advantage to purchasing tires from them is that you get free alignment and rotation .

Don't waste your time trying to negotiate with Fred Anderson. The staff is rude and unprofessional. I bought a 4runner from there in 1999 and my fiance and I wanted to replace a current vehicle. They didin't want to deal on a 2008 vehicle (vehicle already a year old) even though they were to get a $5,000 kickback from Toyoto. They want their cake and eat it too. They could care less about their potential clients. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! GO ELSEWHERE!
Pros: NO PRO'S
Cons: SALESMAN WAS NICE, HIS MANAGER WAS DOWNRIGHT RUDE!

While I love my Toyota car - having it serviced at Fred Anderson is a NIGHTMARE. Each time I have taken my car there it's gotten progressive worse. Simple maintenance takes HOURS and the guys in the receiption area of the service department seem CLUELESS about most things. Your car will sit out in the receiving bay for an hour - at least. They must give 50 customers at a time the SAME time for their "appointment." Today when I was there no one even came to my car - there was only ONE guy outside (guess the rest were inside drinking coffee - after all it was cold out). After wiating there for sometime I did like many others and just left! Then there are the sales people lurking around like Piranah's ready to pounce if you even glance towards a new car in lobby. Leaving your car there and riding the shuttle is a joke. It took them 45 minutes for them to drop me off. I only work 10 minutes away. The entire auto industry is SLEAZY!
Pros: Clean bathrooms - you'll be there for HOURS waiting, waiting, waiting..so that at least helps
Cons: Highly Disorganized - You'll definitely get the "after-the-deal" "service"

We went to Fred Anderson's service department for our third time for service yesterday. It took 2.5 hours for an oil change and tire rotation, and of course we did make an appointment well in advance. All the semi-burnt Starbucks hot chocolate you can drink while waiting doesn't make up for such long waits. The two other times we have taken it in, it's been at least an hour and a half for simple services.
We could see our car sitting along the curb for about 2 hours before they finally pulled it in to service it.
After yesterday's wait, we decided to try to the Durham dealership next time for service. Fred Anderson has been just ridiculous and we won't recommend that anyone go to their service department.
Pros: free starbucks, nice waiting room
Cons: service takes much longer than it should, no concern for waiting customers

I was pretty skeptical about having my car serviced at this location, but I didn't have much choice, as the reviews for Mark Jacobson was just as bad. I was pretty happy with my experience as Fred Anderson.
My appointment was easily made over the phone for the following morning (so they were helpful at taking a last minute booking). I just had a regular oil change and tire rotation. I was however advised that my tires are almost due for change, which I was quoted on and given the option to go ahead with or not. I opted not to have the tires changed as I want to shop around first, there was no hassle for declining.
the service took less than an hour, the waiting room was pleasent to be in.
After reading the reviews below had me wanting to check my oil to make sure if was changed, but I'm pretty comfortable that it was done.
Pros: easy, efficient, friendly
