I enjoyed a great meal and dining experience with a large group at Porters. Despite the size of my party - over 20 - everyone was treated as an individual and the food was delicious. I had a great steak salad. Their wine and bar selection is fantastic (definitely check out Mark West's Pinot Noir if you're having steak.) If you can, save room for dessert as there are some great reasons to break your diet. The bathrooms are beautiful and staff exceptionally helpful and friendly - even servers who aren't assigned to your table will stop by and see how you are doing. I really enjoyed Porters, and I think you will too!

Porter's is a great change of pace from any other restaurant on Hillsborough Street. Though more expensive than the pizza and grease joints that permeate the area, Porter's is definately worth it. The decor is quite lovely, and a patio is available when the weather is nice. They have a well-stocked bar and great food (from what I have heard, they share a kitchen with the pricey Fraizer's down the street). The lunch menu can seem somewhat limited; however, I think I'm absolutely addicted to the Thai nachos as a meal (a TON of nachos with chicken and peanut sauce, among other yummy toppings) so it doesn't bother me badly. Great place for a business lunch or a nice dinner near campus!

It has been a long time since I was this impressed. The waiter was terrific, the food was amazing and the ambiance was hip and comfortable. This is my new favorite spot in the Triangle. Even on a busy and cold friday night, it was worth the trip and the wait. Don't change a thing!
Porter's is an excellent restaurant. The food and service is consistently excellent. I love the atmosphere. It reminds me of something in New York City especially sitting outside on the patio. I would highly recommed Porter's to anyone. It is one of our favorite places to go in Raleigh!

Porter's was great! The food was awesome! Went on a Friday night, it was crowded so my group and I had a drink before our table was ready. Our server was prompt, courtious and very professional. Everyone at our table ordered a different cuisine. We ordered the Lamb, Steak, Pasta and...something else? Nonetheless, all were practically flawless. This restaurant buzzes, which makes for an enjoyable evening. I must say, Porters has become one of my top choices in Downtown Raleigh
