Coming from Washington DC my husband and I have had Duck from several places from the high end to the mid priced. We have tried Duck in Raleigh before but none compared until we visited the lovely, quaint, family restaurant of Imperial Garden. This Duck is truely prepared with Love! The taste excites your taste buds. I look forward to going back soon! I would definetely recommend this to anyone who knows about good Peking duck which by the way is prepared several ways. Coming from the Boston area I never thought we would find good chinese food in Raleigh, but the Imperial Garden is great! Their food is fresh, tasty, and always cooked to order. The Mu Shu pork is my favorite along with their black bean or garlic sauces. Pros: Can't beat their Mu Shu!

The Imperial Garden Restaurant is a great dining experience for my wife and I. Clean, excellent service, and a great healthy atmosphere where we enjoy taking guests and family. I?ve been enjoying this restaurant since about 1990 as I recall. Never been to China so I can?t speak for authenticity but I know good feed when it enters my mouth. I notice there are some negative comments in the reviews that are posted anonymously and I can?t help but wonder why these people didn?t have the courage to engage management of the restaurant while there. How can a restaurateur improve the service or quality unless they are given the opportunity while there rather than cowardly expressing an opinion? Just makes the ?review? all the less valid. We enjoy eating here any day of the week. They are especially accommodating when I ask for white sauce and no salt or MSG in my chicken and broccoli. We love the won-ton soup and the egg rolls too. Everything we have ordered has been delicious and the service is good.

Just ate here for the first time tonight and will be going back again. I had the Garlic Chicken with only broccoli extra spicy [and boy did they make it so :)]. I was crying it was so spicy but that's how I wanted it and they did it just right. The flavor behind the spice was delicious. My husband got orange chicken and my children got Chicken Broccoli. The wait staff was very courteous and kept our glasses full with ice water. Since my family moved down here from NY we have not been able to find a good Chinese food restaurant. THE SEARCH IS OVER. The food is great the staff is great and there is a very nice feel to the place. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be in good spirits and smiling which is a good indicator that the food was not just wonderful for us. So if you are a Northerner who has relocated down the NC and are looking for a great Chinese food place you have found it in Imperial Garden. If you are a Southerner then I am sure you already know about this place but if you didn't don't hesitate to go. Pros: GREAT FOOD, GREAT STAFF Cons: ...If you find one let me know

Went to Imperial Garden based on the reviews in this site. We had very good service and the Orange Chicken was the best I've ever had. The fried rice was really good too. The place did smell a little funny when you first walked in, but it looked clean overall. My husband and I will go there again. Pros: Very good food and service Cons: Atmosphere needs some work

Imperial Garden is one of our favorite spots in the area!!! The owners/waitstaff always greet us with smiles and make us feel very welcome. I have a hard time finding restaurants that are able to cook my food with splenda and it still taste great. I wasn't sure if they offered that until I asked and the response I got was hilarious: "Burger King isn't the only place where you can 'Have it your way!"" When we don't know what we are in the mood for, they recommend dishes to us and they have all been delicious! There are so many Chinese restaurants around the area and we are glad that we have found THE BEST!!! Pros: Great food and atmosphere Cons: None
