Ate here recently. Was seated immediately. Waiter seemed to be high. The waitstaff kept going into the kitchen to laugh loudly about something and we would also hear them gagging. Not entirely appropriate for a restaurant. We were skeptical when we received our food, which was mildly disappointing in the end. Price was pretty good (bill for 2 was under $20), but the quality of food was lacking--standard at best. Too bad we won't be returning. Pros: quick to be seated, price Cons: waitstaff decorum

My wife and I stopped for a quick dinner hear last night. The food was pretty good the tomato bisque and the calamari appetizers were good. The mescaline salad was a little salty but my sandwich was very good, a chicken cordon bleu. Nice beer selection. At a higher price I wouldn't have been so happy but I really felt that this was a pretty good deal. Pros: Good Food, Decent Beer Selection on Tap

It was nice. Nice atmosphere, very casual. Food was great, especially the calamari and the fish and chips. Fat tire on draft. I was wondering from some of the reviews if the negative comments about some of the staff are just hateful competitors. Sadly no. 1 brunette hostess in particular strutted around like we were supposed to be grateful to be in her presence. I just ignored it. I have worked in restaurants and know that some staffers just do that. The boss needs to stop ignoring it. No doubt s/he knows about it. We will go back, having said all that. The food was good and it was a new place for us. It was a nice date for an old married couple. ....and my wife liked it. Pros: My wife liked it, she is very picky about Fish N Chips Cons: Hostesses need cust svc training or replacement

Really good food and friendly, prompt service. Even better, the whole restaurant is non-smoking until 10pm (they still have one room that stays non-smoking but its closed off from the bar). They have a huge patio and live music most weekends-- day and night. The setting is relaxing and unpretentious-- but it's the food that will keep you coming back. Try the entree specials whenever available-- excellent without breaking the bank! Pros: food, service, smoke free dining Cons: none

These days, it seems like most people who write reviews on web sites like City Search are only looking for a way to complain-- especially people with personal problems who like to take their misery out on others. Ok so onions are not the most common allergy but I have an onion allergy and had to send food back due to being smothered in onions - server never offered anything that could be back to the table before everyone was finished eating, he said EVERYTHING would take 20 minutes to prepare. Never offered a manager to come to the table and after others were sending off there dishes from the completed meals, the server offered 'chicken fingers'! Why would I want food AFTER the people I came to eat with had already finished? Why was I not offered a salad when I sent the food back - oh wait, because EVERYTHING takes 20 minutes to prepare........ Very disappointed in this local place that I thought would have been a great local place to eat/ drink. Pros: choices of beer on tap Cons: server and his no personality

RUN to Ben's for the fish tacos; the only ones in town that Ive found that can be ordered grilled. DELICIOUS. For those who have never had fish tacos, I know. They sound gross. NO! Theyre awesome. Ben's Place is in an obscure location; it doesnt look like it should be a restaurant, located behind Carmax. Inside is sort of bland, a bar/restaurant combo,but not dark and smokey. Ben has a CHEF and he can cook. All the food we've had there is excellent. Prices are moderate and so far I havent found coupons, but you can bet Im a fish taco regular. Actually, friend told me there is a Monday Night deal that I need to check out...
