I have really enjoyed going to see movies at this theater. The movies are all $1.50, which is a bargain basement price. The theater itself is always a little dingy, but then what do you expect from a place where you can see a film for less than $2. They usually get movies a week or so after they leave the theater, and keep them for a few weeks after. I great cheap night out.

Blue Ridge 14 is a staple of cheap entertainment in this area of Raleigh. Having a second-run movie theater is awesome enough, but to have so many different screens is really extraordinary. With the number of selections at "the buck-fifty", as my friends affectionately call it, you can effectively just let yourself be three or four months behind on all your movies and still go to the movies *all the time*. On weekends, you may want to stop by ahead of time and buy your tickets. Notice that all the shows start in clumps at certain times - go in the off time and buy your tickets to avoid the long lines (or having to go kill 2 hours in KMart because the showings you wanted are all sold out). Parking can be quite a pain - be careful, some places nearby have been known to tow!
The only downside: no ATM cards accepted (at least without a huge fee), and expensive concessions (buy Jr. mints at KMart or Food Lion and put them in your purse).

We love going to the movies here because it’s so cheap! At just $1.50 a ticket, you can take two people to the movies for less than the cost of a movie rental AND get the experience of watching a movie on the big screen. The downside is you have to wait sometimes quite a while for a movie to make it to the theater and the bathrooms are probably the dirtiest I’ve ever seen, but for the price it’s well worth it!

The Blue Rdige 14 Cinemas offers $1.50 movie showings. This low, low price is the same for any movie you see here, no matter what your age or the day or time you go. With prices this low, you can afford to buy some snacks here. The movies available here are always slightly older than the movies available at the premium theaters, but the quality is the same. The theater is clean and well maintained too.

Its really hard to mess up the $2 movie. At the Blue Ridge you can go see a slightly old blockbuster for the fantastic price of $2. Unfortunatly, along with the cheap admission, comes some slightly sketchy people. Weekend nights tend to attract some unsavory individuals, and this location has been the site of several shootings. I've gone on many occasions duringthe week however, and its been a perfectly delightful place. The closed for a while and re-opened...

If you don't want to spend all that money to watch a movie on the big screen this is the place to go. You won't be watching any premiers but who needs to keep up with the Jones' (my apologies to anyone named Jones). It's even a better alternative than waiting for the dvd release since it is cheaper than a rental. Also, you support your local theater the later you watch a movie on the big screen. There is a certain time limit in which most of the proceeds go to the movie company itself then afterward proceeds will start going towards the local theater. Then all the money you save on the ticket can go to all the overpriced food items.

If you want a place near North Carolina State University, where you can have a good time for scrap metal, go here. Just don’t buy the food. Tickets are like $2 for a movie that has been out for a month or two, but a popcorn and drink will run you about $10. But it’s a great place to go with friends when you are bored to tears.

This is My favorite place in the triangle for movies. Cheap. A new building since the old one burned down. And did I mention CHEAP? I think it's great to be able to wait a few more weeks to see a movie and save myself a TON of money. And that's what they let you do.
