I happened to also be dining at EVOO the night of this incident. As per the news story that was on last night, the event was an isolated incident that could have essentially happened anywhere. I have dined at the restaurant for the last several years quite regularly, and this has been the only time a situation like this has happened there. I do not think it is fair for the previous reviewer describe the incident that happened on Friday as a "health concern." If that was the case, any restaurant in Raleigh is a health concern--its just the nature of dining out. I plan to return soon, as I have faith in a restaurant as good as EVOO that they did everything and will continue to do everything in their power to make sure events like this do not happen again!
Pros: Best fish, great staff, great atmosphere

Their lamb and chicken kabobs are very good. The salad, hummus and cucumber yogurt is great too. The restaurant is somewhat dull looking but the food makes up for that. We have eaten there several time and and our food was great every single time.

It's about time we had a decent Middle Eastern/Persian restaurant in the triangle! I'm telling you, you just can't beat these kabobs which are served here -- and believe me, we've tried every Middle Eastern restaurant in the Triangle area and they're not as fresh or as tasty as what you'll get here!! The kubideh (ground beef made into individual meat loaves) is freshly made with the highest quality meat; the chenjeh, or cubed beef is filet mignon which melts in your mouth -- so tender, as are the lamb kabobs and the chicken is to die for, too!!! Naturally, the rice is very fluffy as they only serve Basmati rice which is a natural nutty-flavor and you will not get any of that white sticky stuff like so many other places serve. And, hey, be sure to check back on the weekends when they serve up various specials which are fantastic and absolutely delicious, as well!!!
The owners are extremely friendly and they make everyone who comes in, feel like your walking into their home! They are more than willing to explain the various dishes they serve and they don't mind giving you a sample if you ask, as well. Oh, I almost forgot to mention.....you must try their homebaked flat bread, which is made to order in a tandoori!! So delicious and very light!!
On your way out with no dessert? C'mon, get a piece of baklava or how about a piece of cake to go or maybe some Sholezard, which is a rose-water infused saffron rice pudding?
Nothing bad to say about Flame Kabob except to say, have some patience with the service as it takes time to prepare your meal as it's all made to order....perfection takes time! Here's a hint though, if you're really hungry and your stomach can't wait, ask Sara or Bahram (the owners) if you could have some bread while you wait which is served with some cucumber and yogurt dip (mast va khiar). YUM-M-M-M!!
They now have a new website, too, if you'd like a peak of their menu. Now run, don't walk and get over there fast!!! You'll be pleasantly surprised, I'm sure!!
Pros: MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH KABOBS!!

Kabobi is a great Mediterranean restaurant. They have a great selection of wraps, sandwiches, salads and soups, all for pretty reasonable prices. I personally love the falafel.
